Ah like the song says it so well: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !! That's what we got up here and lots better than having rain in the mix up.
Hours on snowblower after work last night and had to do it again at 4:30 this morning before work and lots waiting for me after work tonight !! lol

Roger, is this shaping up to be another year your don't get your car out til late June because "too much winter" ? Sledding isn't exactly my idea of top down riding!

Yes Gerry it definitely was. Loved hearing the back story on your Dad's old truck. Love hearing these types of stories.

Sorry I missed you guys, down in NH at the moment.

Actually it hasn't been that bad yet but yep we have lots of snow and it does keep us busy. The difference is not much rain in the mix this year and that is perfect so far. Never had much or any time for sledding yet as been busy with daughter building new house and moving in just before xmas so mom and dad a bit busy with that. Now back to normal so hoping for some seat time soon. Agree with you sledding really does not replace the Mustang thing but I still enjoy it when conditions are good. And like Trevor says man I really hope I thaw out before summer, can't see taking out the car in June again ?? lol
After the last few days gotta admit though that a tractor sure sounds good right now, damn gotta find out what those lottery numbers are ?? How are things on the Island ??

Just plain cold today, the type of weather that chills right through. Alex and I were out to Kenny U Pull budget shopping for his project truck and almost froze.

It's Cold enough to Freeze the Nuts on an Old Ford Truck. :FordSmile

Cold here to start the day. -18 in Cornwall getting out the door. Don't think I've been warm in days. Anybody watching the weather predictions for Sunday-Monday? Some are making it sound pretty bad. 150-250mm of precipitation along the easy coast. Roger.....go buy that tractor!

Looks like a mess but who knows as that forecast is 5 days out - Weather predictions are so much fun on the east coast - Seems like they pick a weather pattern and wing it - no one expects them to be right anymore than 10% of the time on a good day.

Ouch predictions are 5-10 cm for Friday then 35-45 for Sunday and again right in the middle of my work days. Gotta buddy coming up Monday from Sussex to snowmobile for a few days.............think I'm gonna put him to work on the snowblower instead....lol

Hello there All! :D
i for one been hiding the best i could from this cold weather hahaha. I must say, last storm here in Moncton pushed me to impulsively buy a new blower, had to go ariens ! :)

I also am preparing my mountain bike to make a good comeback for season 2019... it's been neglected over the last years and i feel like i need to jump back in my beloved sport. Here's a picture of my current bike, a 2011 Giant Trance which i intend to upgrade from in the next 2 or 3 years pertaining this season i actually put enough Kms in her to justify an upgrade. (Don't mind the chain being out, doing all my maintenance myself usually soooo new chain time :D )

This would be the upgrade i want to do... ohhh so pretty but ohhh so expensive ($4300 +HST) so i want to make sure i really jump back in the sport :D

and to stay in out of the cold, i upgraded my computer gaming setup this winter so ya, no need to go out in the cold if i do not feel like it :D wooo!

Sorry for the long post, been a while, yes i am still alive and brain still functionning haha ;)
Now i DO look forward to the next storm, to try this lovely Ariens out !! :D

Your not alone in the trying to hide inside .lol....Me too. I've heard the Ariens are the way to go, I still like my old Columbia 1989 11/33 blower, it's a true tank!. The new bike upgrade will be nice , I remember back in my day every time I upgraded it felt so good and seems so much easier. Been through many of tracks, national parks, ski hills etc, lots of cuts and bruises but had a blast .Still have a couple of the old Norco's in the shed

photo3070.jpg I bought a Troy Bilt with the front impeller from Kent a year ago and have been happy so far.The cables were not properly adjusted when I bought it but now it throws snow like nobody's buisiness. You just have to remember the front auger sticks out a little so keep extra shear pins on hand.

You're gonna love the Ariens, they work real well. I still have an old '92 Pro that I use and actually still has one of the original belt on it now that's pretty good. I also have a more recent Pro that I am trying to get use to and this one cost me a few buck replacing parts here and there but I like it too. Now stopped by the local tractor dealer yesterday as I am kind of interested in one of those compact tractors (live in town don't need bigger) but I believe I would have to re-mortgage in order to afford this. Man they want just short of 35 000 bucks with cab, blower and bucket..............just nuts !!
