Paint & protection

The stuff in the bottle above soaks in and virtually lifts the bugs off, all I have to do is wipe off with a damp cloth and dry with another. Great when you just want to get a few bugs off the bumper and the rest of the car is still clean ?

Easiest trick ...no more bugs on bumper cover?

So my daughter was unfortunately involved in an accident a couple weeks ago. Everyone is ok and it was no fault of hers. That being said it ended up damaging the 2011 equinox that was passed down to her for about $7500.00. They deemed it a total loss last Friday. This being said we ended finding a used Mazda CX5 AWD GT last Sunday from an older couple. It had higher mileage then we would have liked at 250000KM, however the thing was very well maintened and in really good condition. I am not sure if anyone ever sat in the backseat much. So yesterday it was picked up and we spend all evening on it cleaning it up and putting a bit of shine to it. Max (S197) put me onto this new Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray coating and I must say it is a pretty cool product with some great results. Car turned out awesome. Thanks Max for the suggestion.

Glad to hear she is alright. I worry about my daughters on the road. There is plenty of bad drivers out there, and they think it's all ok.
Cool product, looks like a great job on the car. Where did you pick up the spray?
Yes I agree I worry all the time when both of the kids are out. Yeah I works great. Canadian tire $26.99. I may have used an 1/8 th of the bottle to do the whole vehicle so it goes far. You can do all the black plastic and everything with it. Even did the wheels.

You can always replace a car but not one of your children, so glad she is OK. My youngest Son has a 2016 CX5 GT that he bought new in 2016. Only weak point is Factory brake hardware (rotors) that are prone to premature rust. The Dealership has already replaced 2 or 3 sets on his car under warranty, so avoid Mazda brake parts and you should be good to go ?

Yes I agree. Exactly what I told her when I hugged her at the accident scene. It's just a car. As long as you are ok all thag matters.

I have heard good things about the CX5 as well. The only factory brakes my vehicles ever get are when they are bought new. So I should be ok there. Lol.

In a recent Car and Driver Magazine comparison test of the Ford Escape, Toyota Rav 4, Honda CRV, Mazda CX-5, and Hyundai Tucson, they Rated the Mazda #1 and in a previous test of the Mazda alone they wrote that it did most things better than the same size offering from BMW ?

Figured this belonged here. Bugs on our bumpers are a major PITA. For years I had used Turtle Wax Bug and Tar with less than stellar results. Tried Sea Foam Bug Remover, and I would highly recommend it ? First wash and dry car, then spray product on affected area and allow 60 seconds to penetrate, then wipe off with a damp cloth. Where did you buy it Fred?

Easy to apply Charlie?
Hey Martin,
Easy is an understatement. Spray a couple of sprays on a panel, wipe onto the panel, use a damp microfiber to wipe down the panel then go over the panel with another clean micro fiber. Like quick detailing a car with an extra step basically. I always go over the car a second time anyways so the damp cloth is an added step. They recommend it to eliminate streaks.
