Interesting side note about NHL
I noticed watching games back in january,
whoever takes care of shot count, changes it now.
So if the shot on net would have missed the net, the remove the shot.
Also if the shot was a soft floater from neutral zone and goalie has to stop
but a 5 year old could have saved it, they remove the shot.
At end of season the NHL announced the lowest Gooalie save % on average
in the league. I chuckled thinking if you remove the metrics, then of what was a shot, but told nobody,
then guess what folks are saying WOW. then of course there also glaring mistakes.
Great example: ( Keep in mind I watch the score board during games, likely from playing all my life)
So shots between tampa and Montreal for most part were close and low shots compared to regular season.
In the first Montreal had 4 shots on board in Tampa zone great shot, never got put on the board.
They gave it to Tampa, they had 8 up, now 9 It was never corrected.
they should have had 7 maybe 8 shots.
Montreal was brutal in 2nd but they did have 3 shots on net, in fairness
not great shots, but legit. there over all numbers for game should have been 4-5 more
this hurts vasilesky the most and maybe makes montreal look a bit lucky.
I am shocked none of announcers or experts between periods pick up on this
I mean some played pro hockey or like other things told to keep mouth shut?
