I watched the Habs game yesterday and watched like assessing instead of just a beer
and chips game lol. They have no system, I could point out 20-30 things with ease
but a few quick ones,
give aways were crazy in amount and how done,
having control of puck, waiting for other team to get to them and losing battle that never needed to happen.
slow decisions when moving puck and player not moving when passing, yet plenty of skating room in front player.
Backhand passes to no one, with no idea where its going,,
shoot ins with no one chasing, but not even throught process to it.
One example of power play, bad pass Ducks shoot it out, they had 18 seconds left, they played
with puck in own end until power play was over then lost the puck to ducks.
nobody moving makes it easier for other team to figure out where to be.
I could go on, but you get the idea, its not pretty to watch and 12 year olds can follow a system
if you give them one, its like no plan or what they have is not even close to working.
Coaches fault or players?
After every loss, you hear them saying we gotta work harder, I can say this
work harder doing what I saw won't change a thing.
I know Descharme is rookie head coach, I know he brought in other coaches,
Pretty much got rid of most previous coaches, do they not have the experince,
or the ability to put a system in place that these players can learn or excute.
All that said, I don't see a silver lining, worst start since 1941, 10 games in
30th in league, looks real bad already, long road to respectable and
a stretch to say they have a shot at even making the playoffs, scary its Nov 1.
So what happens next? trades? firings? what? I know one thing, the longer they wait,
longer it takes to turn the boat around. what ever needs fixing, the process better start quick.
