NHL 2022

Yep. Last night was bad for the Leafs to lose to Firewall Freddie as their ex goalie. Carolina does look strong.

If anyone is watching the habs this week, if you really have nothing better to do, they have two late games but two on the weekend at 5 PM our time.

Based on history Habs in big trouble.
1-6-0 start, next three games could decide season.
I know it sounds funny, but they have to win atleast 2.
Odds of making playoffs with 2 or less wins in first 10 are crazy low.

I still think they have a good enough team, based on the players.
Is it no chemistry, bad coaching or system for team?
I know this, another week of this and it won't matter.

so then its how do you get number 1 draft pic, crazy
to be talking about this in October. I still think Jeff Molson
needs to hire a president, because win or lose, your next management
moves dictate the future and currently its bleak.

ANother loss for Habs, going to be a long year at this rate
hard to get excited about it, glad I went to local amature boxing event last night
better than watching what I read habs did against lowly Kings.

Something has to give and fast or one would seriously have to consider
going for #1 draft pic lottery, horrible to say that about the habs.
and equally sad to say 9 games in.

Well boys and girls, I'm a Bruins fan. We beat Florida last night, but I don't expect we'll be there at the end this year. It looks like a change of the guard. All new teams are dominating. I can't see the Bruins, Leafs, or Habs doing any damage this year.

I’m Bruins fan too.
However I never include us in same sentence, category or potential as Habs and Leafs. Lol ?

We didn’t overachieve last year so I think we’ll be alright.
I still like our team a lot.
Blue collar work ethic, nucleus of main players still there and good coaching.
All good. ?

Well as a Habs fan, not liking Leafs or Bruins is a natual thing.
SO them beating us to #1 draft would piss me off.
them doing badly would be a bonus, but not that bad LOL.

Habs have the unique ability to win enough to get to 18th-20th
which means they don't make playoffs and end up with mid
level draft pic. Can't win for losing lol.

I think at this point what drives me most nuts is what the real problem is.
Look at them on paper, good team, yes Price missing hurts, weber sure
but he was getting slower anyway so this should matter
but not mean playing this bad.

Is it chemistry, these guys just don't really fit and need something different?

Is it coaching and guys can't play the system Descharme wants or really
doesn't get through to them, If so then what? How long does the GM
which up until the big playoff run, one could argue should have been fired.
So many questions and no answers, not good enough, not cap space left
aging core, whats next? More important how long do we have to suffer to find out?

We'll see. The weakness I saw against the Islanders in the playoffs, was that we weren't tough enough. We weren't tough enough against thecBlues in the finals a couple of years ago. I don't think that has changed. We'll see.

I watched the Habs game yesterday and watched like assessing instead of just a beer
and chips game lol. They have no system, I could point out 20-30 things with ease
but a few quick ones,
give aways were crazy in amount and how done,
having control of puck, waiting for other team to get to them and losing battle that never needed to happen.
slow decisions when moving puck and player not moving when passing, yet plenty of skating room in front player.
Backhand passes to no one, with no idea where its going,,
shoot ins with no one chasing, but not even throught process to it.

One example of power play, bad pass Ducks shoot it out, they had 18 seconds left, they played
with puck in own end until power play was over then lost the puck to ducks.
nobody moving makes it easier for other team to figure out where to be.

I could go on, but you get the idea, its not pretty to watch and 12 year olds can follow a system
if you give them one, its like no plan or what they have is not even close to working.
Coaches fault or players?

After every loss, you hear them saying we gotta work harder, I can say this
work harder doing what I saw won't change a thing.
I know Descharme is rookie head coach, I know he brought in other coaches,
Pretty much got rid of most previous coaches, do they not have the experince,
or the ability to put a system in place that these players can learn or excute.

All that said, I don't see a silver lining, worst start since 1941, 10 games in
30th in league, looks real bad already, long road to respectable and
a stretch to say they have a shot at even making the playoffs, scary its Nov 1.

So what happens next? trades? firings? what? I know one thing, the longer they wait,
longer it takes to turn the boat around. what ever needs fixing, the process better start quick.
