Ok I'll word this better. In the late 80s, when the time came to start designing a replacement to the Windsors (302/351), Ford considered another alternative than the Modulars (4.36/5.4/6.8). It was proposed by Roush Industried. What was it?
 
3 were produced in 2 different displacement. 1 of those engine supposedly still exist in a hot rod.

I'll give hint til Friday and give the answer if no one finds out.
