Mustang sales

You're right, I've had the pleasure of trying a manual Ecoboost hard top. It's a fun car to drive.
Remarkable balance and handling.
The new suspension on the S550 puts our old solid axle setups to shame for handling.
The legend does live on...!

From the outside, it would be most easily confused for a V6 because there is no fender badge. No 5.0.
To tell the ecoboost from the V6, you have to look at the trunk faux gas cap.
The V6 has the tri bar running pony on the cap.
While the ecoboost has only the running pony without the tri bars.
They both have dual exhaust, so that's not a tell tale sign either.
The gas cap is the best way to tell.

That's good news. It will get easier to tell V-6 and ecoboost apart for 2018 as the V-6 is being dropped. Only V-8 and ecoboost going forward.
But big positives. 10 speed auto. Magnetic dampers from the Shelby included in track pack going forward. Track pack now available with automatic and convertible models. Bump in power for both engines. I read somewhere in neighborhood of 455 hp for V-8.

That's good news. And should keep on that trend when 2018 model hits the market.
Camaro already boasting about their 10 speed auto shifter.
Mustang will have it too.
Interesting thing about that 10 speed transmission. It was jointly developed by Ford and GM.
Ford basically invented it or gave birth to it for the F-150.
Then GM came on board and refined it a bit for use in cars, hence the Camaro and Mustang offerings.
Same transmission for both. The hardware part at least.
Each company will have proprietary software for the shift points, rev matching, holding a lower gear in sport or track mode, and what have you.
