Windsor NS area had rolling blackouts to prevent overheating of transformers due to “unprecedented demand” . Gov’t wants everyone from oil to electric heat, (yes Virginia heat pumps do still use electricity and there is no solar in a snow storm) add electric car charging and a cold day and they wonder why the demand is up?

they also told everyone to turn off heat pumps during storm,
they don't like extreme cold and can have some serious issues.
So yes get rid of your furnace for a heat pump :oops:
