Die Cast Model Cars any Scale, all types of Vehicles

Local retirement home had a Christmas market today, and just happened to drop in.

This gentleman had a whole table full of minty mint old school Hot Wheels, and they were priced to sell, so of course I grabbed a few.

These are 2006 releases....can't believe how mint the cards are for a diecast thats almost 20 years old, and these things are heavy...diecast base, no plastic.

Another for the Gulf collection, thats 2012, and a 2004 SN95 dragster.

Best for last, the paint on these 2005 releases is amazing.

Looks like I need to check out a toy/hobby store once in awhile. I have been given a few die-cast cars over the years from friends, but never actually went out actively searching for any. Almost all my collection of Hot Wheels, Dinky, and Matchbox are from when I was a kid. Most of my Hot Wheels are fifty years or older, with many of them in the redline era. None are in original packaging of course, as they were all played with.

I read recently that there are now counterfeit Hot Wheels being produced, with some sporting the old school redline wheels. So beware if you come across the pink VW beach bomb, and think you hit the jackpot..

Maisto seems to be the only brand I've seen so far with Gen III Raptors....picked up these ones yesterday.

Mack truck is pretty cool too... for $10, why not ?

Points deducted for calling the 2021 an SVT Raptor though, SVT changed to Ford Performance in 2015.

This one was from the spring.

Santa dropped these off too.

The Studebaker is my first non Ford but I still have to display it for historical reasons.
The first cars my great grand father sold at his general store were Studebaker, along with International Harvester farm tractors and appliances.
That was the beginnings of the Ford dealerships of today.

I'm not sure what's more amazing....the collection or having the space to display it. :D

Pretty impressive to have 375 diecast on one wall and 400 on another, and I'm betting they are in the $100+ range each......

In other news, browsing eBay this morning over coffee and as predicted, HW is starting to release Mustang 60th diecast.

This is the intermediate "silver" series, so between mainlines and premiums.

Looks like a cool set if you can find it at the local Walmart before the peg skags get to them.

I'd go Walmart prices, ( $5 each ) but no way I'm doing eBay prices ( $10 each plus shipping, probably closer to $15 each.)

Quick copy and paste......
