Cool mustangs

I like the GTD, a lot!

But I was disappointed when I watched one of the first videos of it on track and learned that track mode cancels the AC and then to get the best aero and performance, expectedly, it’s recommended to keep windows closed.

Come on. Give owners the AC and let them decide if they want it on or off.
The pros looking to set a record at the “Ring” will turn it off anyway. They know the game.
I norammly don't run the Air when I am tracking my car,

I norammly don't run the Air when I am tracking my car,

Neither do I, and all track guys for the better part, but many have the option.

Most track with windows down.
Some tracks or events, it’s a safety rule, so safety crews can have easy access to occupants in the car if anything happens.

My point is that the GTD does not give the option.
Even if you only put it in track mode for the suspension benefits and just want to partial throttle around a track, or twisty and engaging mountain highway or side road. If it’s in track mode, no AC available.

And the Ford aero package recommends windows up for best results.
Again, I know this applies to most or all cars, but other cars in that price range allow the driver the choice.

You know, BM’s, Porsches, Corvette, Audi, Benz, Etc.

I watched a video of two guys take a sauna in the car at the”Ring” in the name of journalism and setting fast times.
Beads of sweat pouring down their faces as the interior temps went up from the hot exhaust with the windows rolled up.
It’s one of the points they made.
Had they been in one of the other cars, they would have had the option to use the AC.

They may have chosen not to use it but the option would have been there.
