You are correct, also has after market driving lights in lower grill.
I have no problem with this, but they look shabby or cheap.
Mostly easy fixes.
Has 2 spider cracks in rear spoiler and I was only there 10 minutes.
Didn't lift hood, nice car, but he likely bought at auction for about 18k
I think he is driving it also and he didn't take me as the gentle type.
 
Yeah it looked cleaner in the pictures. I am going to venture out there and say it may have a bit of a history once you dug deep down.
 
I went to go see it tonight but it wasn't around. Hope to catch a glimpse on Thursday perhaps now that I'm off that day. The stripes and number are a personal touch that someone put on it. Like Charlie said most Saleen cars are black/white or like mine gray/silver stripes. The USA is something a previous owner came up with I would guess. There are more pictures of it on the dealership website. Looks like the rest iof the car s close to Saleen stock but hard to tell from the pictures. And yes those fog/driving lights don't do it any favours lol

I knew you would go I guess. Haha. Hopefully you get to see it in person as well. Why would someone take an original numbered car and modify some of it's key features? Seems off don't you think?

I assume someone wanted to make it stand out and look a little different than the rest. Not an original Saleen stripe colour so I assume someone had a company do it up for them.
 
Not uncommon for someone to take off original stuff and change it up. You can get a stripe kit from Saleen for $100 or so of you want to put it back the way it was. Another $40 or so for the number kit on the front bumper. It could be a clone but I'm 95% sure it's legit. Has the same supercharger as mine and everything looks the way it should for a 2004. They had the one piece wing and center exhaust so that all works out. Only one that truly knows is Saleen.
 
You would know better than I would that is for sure. I know we all make them our own. So you are probably right. He said it was a rare car. Would you leave it the same if you buy it for Karen?
 
Also, Jason don't want keep the Saleen, buy her a 2015 GT, red vert.
Because she would have her own stang and worse, about 50 HP more :D
Something else she could kick his ass at LOL.
