Race director and stuarts made a mess of this,
I am lewis fan, but gets investagted for turn one,
he gets pushed off my leclerc , verstapen causes most of it and gets nothing,
Then Lewos gets pushed off from 3rd in turn 4 comes back on track in 3rd but gets penalty
for gaining advantage  , nobody else did anything wrong whole race:unsure:

then with 1.5 laps left They put out virtual daftey car for car off behind barrios, then release
with 1/2 lap to go , which basically admits they were idiots, ruined what could have been amazing last 2 laps
with Verstapin chasing for 2nd and Piastri chasing for 4th, oh well don't want and racing
be ashame for F-1 to be instersting past trun one, lap one:ROFLMAO:

Last but not least, gotta wonder why Piastri car is 8 tenths slower than Landos last 2 races
out of nowhere, did Pisatri all of sudden forget how to drive or does Maclaren think Lando would make better champion
we know they have there own rules, make a fellow wonder.

And George Russell is fast, but if he put energy that he wastes whining into driving he would be leading the world championship.

regardless of the BS, the drama for next seasons drive to survive should be epic and after all F1 does not want to be pure sporting
event, it wants to win best day tie Drama at the Emmys next year as well :p

Well, as races have been recently, Mexico was one of the more exciting ones. Not for the win of course, but at times there was some really good racing going on from 2nd place back. Sad Lewis had a lousy break. He had a great opportunity kind of robbed from him. The last two laps could have been nail biting, but we will never know. It could have ended in disaster as well..

It sure helps when they race on a track where it is possible to make a pass. This should be a mandatory requirement for any track they race at. Too many ridiculous circuits run every season, but it's all about the money, not great competitive races. There are certainly many far better courses to keep racing exciting, not just a follow the leader parade.

It seemed to me that Lando started off the season as McLaren's golden boy, but Piastri's results since proved otherwise. You could be correct in that they are somehow giving Lando an edge. I'd sure hope not, but wouldn't take much. One little tweak and a driver may not even pick up on it. Less chance of them taking out one another too.. Sponsor $ could play a role in this kind of potential malarkey. UK sponsor money wants UK Champion perhaps?

Yes, poor George kept begging to get let around the kid, but he sure didn't do much. To late maybe as his tires had taken a beating by then. Least he kept his word about giving Kimi back his position. No doubt they are both good, and there is some competition going on between them on the team. George wants to remain Mercedes top driver, like Leclerc wants to remain the A driver with Ferrari. I think this internal competitiveness hinders both the teams a bit, but it does make for some interesting times on the track.
Impressive weekend attendance at over 401,000. I guess when you have a city with a population (22 million). equal to more than half that of Canada's total population, it stands to reason.. 😊

Interesting interview with Perez, stating he believes he can make a come back. He kind of blames his failing at Red Bull on Max. I guess we will find out next season.
Old Jacque Villeneuve, always quick with criticism's, pointed out that nobody that's driven for Red Bull so far, including Perez, has the skills that Max has, so he has become their scapegoat. It does stand to reason though that Max would be given priority, until another driver can equal or surpass him.

ya strange race, with some Marsahll stuff and stewarts stuff as well. WHo knows about Maclaren, but eaier to sell Lando
I like Lando, make a great World Champion, but something wierd is going on there 7/8 tenths is falling off a cliff in F-1

Max wel not his fault others can't keep up in a car built the way he wants and when you win like him
they will build it is way. WOnder if Hadjar really wants that seat LOL.

Your right about passing and it sucks, get rid of 90% of the down force and will solve dirty air and
drivers would have to drive. Teammates ya, its wierd for sure, both want on top, but racing each other is tricky busness.

Hadjar could easily face the same obstacles that Tsunoda, and Lawson faced, if Red Bull even wants him as the second driver. It would be a huge opportunity to pass up, but he's been doing really well in the RB car as it is, in just his rookie year. He may not have the choice to stay with the team, but if he can, I hope he thinks long and hard about the change. If Tsunoda loses his seat, I think he may end up without a seat next year with any team, unless maybe RB takes Lawson's seat away.

Thought this was an interesting overview of F1 2026 new rules.
true articale that left out some major componets to all of this.
Yes the power unit has dominated the talks, but a complete chassis and
areo package is being introduced at same time.

This has never been done in F-1, they may changes engines they maybe change aero and chassis, but they have never done
major overhaul of both sets of rules in the same season.

Lastly it set off a firestorm, when they announced 100% sustainable fuels, which means without going electric, the
race cars are carbon neutral, which caused a debate on engines and going back to V-8/ v-10
they now only promiced this set up till 2027 to see if they can make work instead of 2030.

Lots more to come, should be fun winter, can't wait for first test, Simulator runs have not been great.

Yeah there are going to be a lot of rows and disputes about rule interpretations!
Should be fun!

I'm sure there will be a lot of controversy on what each team is doing, and if they meet the regulations or not. New chassis and powertrains for several teams could make it really interesting.

The Sky Sports F1 pundits will sure have a lot to talk about next season. Not that they wouldn't already I'm sure, with Cadillac's team entering the circus. Then there is the drivers, with the team's hiring's and firings, and the engine manufacture change ups.

Honda engines will be powering Aston Martin's 2026 cars. The new Red Bull-Ford jointly engineered engines will be pushing Max and the RB team cars around..(at least 50% of the time supposedly :)). I can't help[ but wonder if Max will be howling from behind the wheel if this engine has issues. Audi’s arrival in 2026 will mean a VW-owned brand will appear on the grid, with Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto having already been signed up to represent the team to be known as simply Audi in its first season. Thank goodness as I felt the current Ferrari powered team name, officially known as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber was ridiculous.
Cadillac's 2026 team starts off with Ferrari engines, presumably a US built GM engine will follow in the future, if it meets F1 approval. Haas team will also sport Ferrari engines, so at least initially three Ferrari powered teams in 2026, including the Ferrari team. Alpine team will have switched to Mercedes power, since Renault has decided to step back from F1. All these new Hybrid/ sustainable fuel engines are bound to make for a few issues initially. Should be interesting to see who gets it right.

rumors currenty have Mercedes out front in power train for 2026
I would not bet against honda and Newey
Ford its been a long time but being built by new Redbull manufacture RB power trains makes you go hmmm
Caddy will be 2-3 years, no idea on Audi. Rumors ferrari is at least on the curve with engines.

Chassis could be the big mystery to, who gets this right out of the gate or close to right.
Normally 1-2 teams are leaps and bounds above others and it takes several years for folks to catch up
Does look like passing maybe eaiser , atleast in the beginning, lots to follow.

A few teams have already announced their drivers for the next season. Red Bull and Alpine are yet to name their second drivers, while RB have not confirmed either driver in their pair-up yet. I fully expect to see Hadjar filling one of the seats. Arvid Lindblad is potentially another. Not quite sure about Lawson. He has improved since the beginning of the 2025 season.
There is also going to be several new team third (reserve) drivers. Obviously Valtteri Bottas will have to be replaced at Mercedes, as he is starting alongside Perez for Cadillac. F2 driver Jak Crawford will become Aston Martin's new reserve driver replacing Felipe Drugovich, who is apparently moving on to the Andretti Formula E team in 2026 as a full time driver. I presume Pato O'ward, with his Indy car talent will stay with McLaren. I think he is a great choice. He could get a shot as a full time driver eventually for one of the teams.

As of October 1st this so far is apparently what drivers the teams will consist of for 2026. Who knows for sure though by the time the lights go out for the first race in 2026.. Look what happened with Hamilton deciding to move to Ferrari. I wonder if he regrets it now?

McLaren - Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris

Ferrari - Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc

Red Bull - Max Verstappen, TBA

Mercedes - George Russell, Kimi Antonelli

Williams - Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz

Audi (Sauber) - Nico Hulkenberg, Gabriel Bortoleto

Aston Martin - Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll

Alpine - Pierre Gasly, TBA

Haas - Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman

Racing Bulls - TBA, TBA

Cadillac - Sergio Perez, Valtteri Bottas

There was some recent rumors that Honda is not overly pleased that Stroll will remain with Aston Martin. I suspect they don't want sub-par drivers representing their product. Might be a hard ask when the father owns the team...lol. I think Lance would have been handed his papers long ago, if anyone else owned the team..
Another recent rumor put forth by former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher, is that Piastri may be slightly miffed with McLaren recently. I don't really see that myself, but I guess Piastri's quest for an F1 world championship, could cause that. I suppose Lando could get in the way of that, if the team continues to allow them to freely race against one another. They could order Lando to act as a blocker during a race to help hold Max off. If Max continues at the rate he has, it may not be long before he is a serious threat to Piastri becoming a World Champ. I doubt Lando would be keen on that though, as he is also in the running.
There was also a suggestion that Piastri could look at an Aston Martin seat moving forward, but then that has also been hinted that Leclerc may as well. Apparently Leclerc is not happy that Hamilton has taken away some of his limelight with Ferrari. Seems all a bit bizarre to me..

Some changes to the 2026 cars explained here.

well based on standing and that thought process Pistri will blocking for Lando he leads by 1 point currently.

I susepct Tusnoda is out at redbull, Hdjar beside max, and 1-2 guys get last racing bulls seat.

Sao Paulo this weekend, the race is tight not only for Championship,
but for several otehr constructor positions, which is worth 10's of millions
per position, so lots to fight for, should be good.

I wonder if they will be racing in the rain again?
Rain is expected on Saturday, which could make the sprint race quite interesting. It could also mess up qualifying. So far, only clouds are called for on Sunday, so they would be running on different tires. That could be a real advantage for some, and and a huge obstacle for other teams.

Yes with Lando now ahead by one, it will be very interesting to see how Piastri wants to play it.. I'm sure Max is loving this.

Did not see the weather, but your right, changes the game big,
Rain is the great equalizer, also makes it more fun for us.
