Red Bull's Christian Horner Fired!
So poor Christian Horner get's tossed from Red Bull. I wonder if the blame for Max's performance this year, and Yuki's totally lackluster performance, was heaped on his shoulders? Were Red Bull team owners looking for a scapegoat to answer to the teams sponsors, so they won't lose multi million dollar contracts Were the rumors the last two weeks, (thanks to George Russell), about Max possibly switching teams next year, partly the cause? Has Horner possibly been getting handsy again with some of the ladies of the team?
How about Max's father Jos, who believes his son is the second coming, and is horrified now Max is not winning every race like in 2023. He has to blame someone as surely it's not his son that's failing. Horner and Jos have butted heads since Max's 2023 winning streak came to an end. He publicly stated that, "Red Bull would "explode" if Horner remained in his role". Perhaps Red Bull was given some assurances about Max remaining with the team if Jos's wish came true?
For now, Laurent Mekies is coming over from the sister team, the Racing Bulls, to run the Red Bull team.
Sky Sports F1 broadcaster and racing driver, Martin Brundle, said, "Christian has told me 'no reason was given to him' as to why he's been released."
Horner certainly can't be blamed for not doing a good job over the last 20 years.
Red Bull's achievements under Horner
