What a great way to spend a weekend. Sure hope it all went well for you..

So vintage class was running races on the same weekend? Not a SVRA event I gather..
In one picture it where the cars look like they are about to grid, it looks like a mixed class event. Were these the cars running in the main event for the weekend?

These cars have their own class and race.
the mix grid event is our local Trac series.
Cars from GT1 to GT 6 and ITB can all be on trac at same time.
They place in class and over all.

Away folks have vintage,
Nissan Cup ( spec series.
ANd Super production.

So F1 at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg Austria on Sunday. Should be a good race. This is one of my favorite F1 circuits. I like the elevation changes, the corner layouts, and that it's a relatively fast track.
Shame that Piastri's Q3 fast lap was hampered by a yellow flag. I think it would be two McLaren's at the front of the grid otherwise. Max's Q7 ended his amazing run of six consecutive pole position starts at his teams home track. Max complained his car was undrivable. Speaking to British broadcaster Sky Sports after the session, Verstappen indicated he believed his car was “miles off pole" set by McLaren's Lando Norris, even without the yellow flag.
Interesting controversy stimulated by Russell's comment that the Mercedes team was "talking to Max"..Wonder where that may lead?

Great F1 race from Austria, or should I say three races…… the McLarens battling throughout up front, the two Ferraris much improved but nowhere near, then the rest of the field way way back. Great battle between Lando and Oscar.

The start was fun, plenty of action, and Antonelli takes out Max.
Later on was interesting when Collapinto was battling with Tsunoda, didn’t see Piastri about to lap him and nearly takes him out.

Qualifying was fun to watch, should be great race, Mulitple places to pass at Silverstone.

F-1 in UK this week, Silverstone, Always produces a great racee.
FP 1 and 2 cars look close Should be fun watching Qualifying tomorrow.

75 years of F-1 first racewas heald here, cool milestone.
Love to get over the pond, so much good racing there.

Silverstone marks the halfway point for the 2025 F1 season, so there is still lots of time to see if any of the other teams can pull it together, and be somewhat competitive with the papaya team.
Always amazes me how some cars perform so much better on some tracks than on others, Even track temps play a big role. You would think the engineering of these five million dollar cars would be a little more consistent. Are the drivers the real inconsistency?

Red Bull's Christian Horner Fired!
So poor Christian Horner get's tossed from Red Bull. I wonder if the blame for Max's performance this year, and Yuki's totally lackluster performance, was heaped on his shoulders? Were Red Bull team owners looking for a scapegoat to answer to the teams sponsors, so they won't lose multi million dollar contracts Were the rumors the last two weeks, (thanks to George Russell), about Max possibly switching teams next year, partly the cause? Has Horner possibly been getting handsy again with some of the ladies of the team?

How about Max's father Jos, who believes his son is the second coming, and is horrified now Max is not winning every race like in 2023. He has to blame someone as surely it's not his son that's failing. Horner and Jos have butted heads since Max's 2023 winning streak came to an end. He publicly stated that, "Red Bull would "explode" if Horner remained in his role". Perhaps Red Bull was given some assurances about Max remaining with the team if Jos's wish came true?
For now, Laurent Mekies is coming over from the sister team, the Racing Bulls, to run the Red Bull team.

Sky Sports F1 broadcaster and racing driver, Martin Brundle, said, "Christian has told me 'no reason was given to him' as to why he's been released."

Horner certainly can't be blamed for not doing a good job over the last 20 years.

Red Bull's achievements under Horner

  • Eight Drivers' World Championship titles
  • Six Constructors' Championship titles
  • 124 wins
  • 107 pole positions
  • 287 podium finishes
I'll miss his interviews at the race's, and his participation in Netflix's Drive To Survive series..

Was a shocker, last year with all the drama, no one would have been shocked.
But Max, alot of real behind scenes talent leaving,
who knows, I suspect Horner, will have no problme getting a Job
if and when is gardneing leave ends

But where will get the power he had at red Bull?
His record is quite impressive and Redbull has never had a different leader
F-1 Never short of drama away from track.

More to watch and wonder about.
