With season winding down, time to start looking to next year.
By January we will post list of 2023 events.

But today, were asking for Ideas for next years fall run,
Next year run is in Nova Scotia.
So give us suggested areas?
after a couple weeks, we will put together 2-3 areas
for members to vote on.

So tells us what you wnat to see and where you want to go? :)

Is the road fixed after the floods of couple years ago that washed out bridges?
And did Fiona cause more damage?
Do we draw too many cars for Cabot trail now?

If road is good, I would like Cabot trail too.

Is there any nice areas from Oxford to Pictou or Antigonish?
Three big centres there for Hotel, lunch and supper.
Amherst, New Glasgow and Antigonish.

We sorted covered this area last time around.
Running out of truro through Tatamagouche, Pictou, new Glasgow and back to Truro.
NS run before was through Peggys cove, Mahone bay.

Have not been up Eastern shore or Eastern Cape Breton.
Valley or deeper south shore and Yarmouth.

I’ve done that loop along eastern side of Bras d’or lake from Louisbourg to Port Hawkesbury, via Big Pond, before.
It’s nice but not nearly as beautiful scenery and engaging driving as the Cabot trail.
More open and flat.

No place to accommodate group, that I can recall, from Sydney to Port Hawkesbury.

Acadian coast from Digby yo Yarmouth is beautiful. Slow but beautiful.
Just such a long way to get there and back, for me that is.
But for anyone else in southern NB, PEI and NS much more accessible.

And that gives access to southeast shore from Yarmouth up to Mahone bay and beyond.
I’ve never been between Yarmouth and Peggy’s cove.
That could be nice too.

true, but Cape Breton is not any shorter for you lol.
Would help if you didn't live 900 miles form anywhere :ROFLMAO:

Great discussion, and good to start thinking about this now. I am originally from Glace Bay (I know - that explains a lot :))) and spend a fair bit of time in Cape Breton, and driving back and forth to visit my father, who spends 6 months of the year at his cottage on the Mira River, not far from Louisbourg.

Other than Kelly's Mountain, and some sections along the Bras D'or Lakes along Route 4 between St. Peter's and Sydney, there is not a lot to see on either route from Port Hawkesbury to the Sydney area. While the town of Louisbourg is nice, the drive there is not that scenic.

I have not been over the Cabot Trail since 2014, and would love to do that drive in a Mustang, with a group of Mustangs. We will be in for the Fall NS Run no matter where it is, here are a couple of pictures from my last trip around the Cabot Trail in 2014 to help get the thought process going.

I would like to submit, some version of a valley run,
Starting in wolf ville and going through different routes mostly back roads, hals harbour,
Maritsgville etc.

If we use back roads, some incredible sites. and depending how how run
is designed, possible to stay in valley or pull off from city. But either way
alot of roads many of us have never traveled :)
