2019 Fall Run Discussion

There has been a lot of background work already done by some very capable PEI Maritime Mustang forum members. Where will the Mustangs travel? Post your choices and let the voting begin
I’m ready for some warm weather thoughts!
 
Anyone like the tip to tip idea, eastern tip on the Sat as part of the run, and for those that want do the western tip on Sunday morning?
 
Aaron put this run together before the conversation got started, I am not sure on details, but looks good also and worth consideration, might have to tweak it for times etc, but should be on vote list for sure.

This is food for thought for Gerry . start towers mall 670 university and head to hillsobough bridge. We would follow bottom going and top coming back. Punch in one place at a time on google earth see how this route wets your whistle. Maybe put up a poll for an optional Sunday run to the west. A couple of ways that could go... do an easy Prince County run starting in Charlottetown and ending at Confed Bridge. Would be a good half day and allow off Island folks daylight for the run home. Otherwise, a full Prince County tour to North Cape and a long day getting home (or overnights in Summerside). Depending on the interest, I'd be happy to take on this one for planning

If we go with a Sunday run, there might need to be a curfew and random room checks, so everybody makes the Bell on Sunday morning:rofl

We will discuss it, but normally the fall run is a one day event by design, of course folks can get together Sunday and do as they wish.
Much like Friday, many get together and travel together and make a day of it.

Festus. This looks sooooo much like an eastern run PEI guy and I were playing with it’s uncanny! We have been playing with some western run ideas as well .
Lots of good idea’s and time to make them work - voting should be interesting
 
I am in contact with strait crossing Confederation Bridge to see if we can get tour inside Bridge as something special for fall run but so far is no go but not done yet.

that only works if the run is in that area, likely better to see where run is, then talk with Gerry on planning.
Most runs the day is shorter than we think, often depends on how many cars and people we have
which can depend on all sorts of factors, but mid 20's is normal and we have been as high as 42
 
We discussed Sunday and have no problem with anyone who wishes to do that.
But we are going to have a separate thread from fall run for any who wish to
sign up for it. Those doing Sunday can plan what works for them.
 
Gerry and Aaron will do an awesome job. We have nothing to worry about. Like Gerry says Where will the Mustangs travel ???????????????

Hi everyone! Aaron gave me a heads-up that the planning for the fall run 2019 had started. (sorry have not been on the forum since fall...my bad!) From reading the discussions it appears that another north-eastern run (like 3 years ago) is the favorite. Also it appears most people like the two nights in one hotel idea for convenience. That pretty much precludes a run from Charlottetown to west side of the Island (Mount Carmel Church, West Point Light house, and up to the North Cape Interpretive Centre and wind farm, Tignish and back). That is too long of a circuit with a start in Charlottetown. That would have been my suggestion for the run if I had been on the ball! However, It will be great to have everyone back on the island again for some fun and comradery no matter where we run to! Will help where I can with the planning!
