2018 Ford Mustang Pro Stock

Got to track a bit early, got everything set up
they were doing a lapping school, another black GT 350R there :)
Don't know his lap times, he might be back today, will hopefully check it out.

Got tires pressures set 20 all around, torqued wheels, ready to go.
1 hour practice, went out and did 9 laps, car was much better,
Came in for 10 minutes, made one small adjustment
Got Back out for another 8 laps.

Got down to 1:15's, FIrst weekend, lucky to see 120"s (gt 5 times )
Amazing how much better it worked when everything was fixed.
We found couple small things, when checking over car
fixed those, car is ready to go for Practice and racing today :)

Being honest, me getting comfortable where it works well,
Braking points, grip levels is likely the next biggest adjustment.
As they say, now just seat time and learn.
Hopefully today goes well :)

Well today was even better, did the first race
took the checkered flag, no issues,

Leigh ( guy who did all the work and set up)
took the car out and won with it doing a 109.5
passing one of his cars with 3 laps to go,
so we know it works good, Ijust need seat time and pracetice.

My 2nd race went even better, there was an off by another car, so finished
under caution, Last race I spun in turn one, when trying to restart
blew a 100am fuse, so I had to be towed off, something we are going to change.

When leigh drove the car, he found transmission noise in 4th, so were going to
rebuild with new gears now, it was on list for winter, along with some other smaller stuff.
Amazing how well it went when prepared right.

Big thanks to Bill and Jeff who were my pit crew this weekend,
also made a big difference having some great help.

Next race is in Sept, bit of a break, been a crazy spring and early summer
time to fix a few things and maybe a few drives in the Mustang.

Some 2 podiums on my first race weekend as a rookie was cool

I bet it It feels good when things start to come together, I’m glad that most of the ducks stayed in a row this weekend
funny you say that, we had a great week other folks not so much
One guy broken rack, went off fast in 11, lucky for him guard rail is about 200' in at that
point, he stoped 6' before hitting it
Another guy broke a spring ended up in grass no other damage
one guys trailer, broke 3 welds on way, but limpped it home
hes got some work to do.

But us, all good :) we have 7 weeks, so doing a few things
and checking everything
