2017 / 2018 NHL Season

Yes hopefully last night was a wake up call for Habs.

With their dismal start to the season, they have to win to stay 3rd in their Division. They are lucky Boston lost their last game and aren't playing tonight.

Habs have one point on the Bruins who have 4 games in hand, too close for comfort.

Habs play Calgary Wednesday and Bruins play Arizona, should be an easy win for Bruins, won't be easy for Habs, Flames are no push over.

Montreal playing Calgary tonight.
they lost to Leafs last night and back to back.
Montreal needs the win, most teams behind them have
games in hand, so points are huge.
Simliar records, both have been playing well.
Montreal needs solid 60 minutes for the win.

Habs lose in OT and get a point, Bruins win and take back 3rd in Division, Habs in 4th with with same amount of points but 4 more games played. Boston plays the Islanders Saturday, and Habs play Oilers. Must win for Habs and Boston has to lose a few if Montreal wants to keep it's head above water.

2 months into the season, Leafs are 2nd in Eastern Conference, Habs 10th, and Sens 15th.

In Western Conference, Jets are 4th, Canucks 8th, Flames 9th and Oilers 13th.

Best Leafs Team this year since 67.

Montreal, if you seen it, you know how bad it was.
I think what scares me most, Is Molson is 100% behind MB
And he thinks things will be fine

Was that the same team that beat the Red Wings 10-1 last Saturday ? They just plain Sucked !

They have 4 days off and play NJ Thursday.

I hope they had an hour long practice this morning, cause they certainly didn't work much on the last 55 minutes of the game.

Montreal, 4 days after 3 losses in a row.
Time to reflect, time for some changes.
MB needs to get on his horse or plan the sell off.

Mete. sent to play with world Juniors, good for him and his development
but not sure what they are thinking, they burned a year of his eligibility
he is a plus 5 on a team with most D in Minus, Perry is minus 12 with 22 minute per game.
Mete's average Ice time 14 minutes a game. He is great with puck and fast, I think he should be playing
20 minutes a game and IMO only 2nd to weber.

Galenchuk needs to go, he is going to be a star, but not in Montreal, he can't handle the pressure
of the expectations in Montreal, great trade Bait. top 6 centre would be perfect for trade.
Gally went to 3rd line, his production went up, he can't handle big minutes.
He went to 2nd line, production went down,, hmmmm

Plecs last year of deal, so they will have to live with what they pay him.
But not next year.

Patches one year left and he is cheap for scorer.

D needs serious up grade, couple of the small forwards need to go.

Here is the tough one and IMO its all on MB.

Carry Price has been my favourite player since he started with the Habs.
He is an elite goalie, who will make 10.5 million next year.
MB needs to put a team around him now to win, while in Prime.
If he is not going to trade him now before no trade clause takes effect and we have
what we have for next 5-8 years.

I think the habs need a serious tweak, not a rebuild, but if not careful, it could get worse.

Plekanic scores the winning OT Goal last Night giving the Habs a 2-1 win over the Devils.

Tomorrow Night Habs and Sens play outside in Ottawa.

Go Habs Go !

I seen 3rd period, wasn't pretty.
Habs were outshot 28-17 first two periods.
Drouin had brutal give away with 3 minutes left made it
2-0, habs pulled price and played hard for lat 2 minutes.
then empty netter. Price was only reason it was close.

Habs are done like dinner, going to be long season
if nothing changes.

I caught bits and piece of it. What i saw was not pretty. Caught the Drouin giveaway this morning on Sportscenter. Tough one to swallow. He would have felt really bad about that one.

yikes! yes I am with you on that one .... it seems this is NOT the Habs year .... really far from it actually. I have to be honest, i do not follow real close, but from what i get to see, and hear, wow is it ever bad. this game giveaway must be hard to swallow at MTL

A win is a win, Deslaurier got 2 goals, first time in his career, Petry got one with a slap shot that was as powerful as Weber's. :FordSmile
