2018 Ford Mustang Pro Stock

Turned into a great, day
so format for Sunday, is
20 minute practice
they have 2 different series and a 3rd, which is a 1 hour enduro
at end of day another series, with a mandatory 5 minute pit stop.

1 Qualify session for the first 2 series, which will also translate
to enduro .

I have a 2nd driver, who races one series, I the other one, we split the enduro,
it works well, I also have 3 people who helps in the pits, who mkae life much easier on
drivers, especailly me :)

Thanks to, Bill, Jeff and James

so we both qualified on Pole.
Mitchell won his first race, then I won my first race
2nd race, Mitchell spun, with half a lap while leading, ended up 2nd
No damage to the cars, had to clean up a bit of pea gravel, before next race.
my 2nd race I won, it was close being pushed over finish line.

Enduro, went well we ended up 2nd, in this race.

Considering the last 2 years, for the car to complete a whole weekend,

with no real issues and then to get 3 firsts and two 2nds was incredible,
with car going on trailer with no issues end of day was incredible
been a long road.

Odds of repeating this are likely slim but I will enjoy my wins and exceptionally happy
at the team effort that gave us this day, has been a long road.

load some pics this week.

Rough day at the track, Practice, 3 laps in car was poping out of 3rd
I brought it in, we got it in the air made some adjustments, looked like it would work.

Mitchell went out to Qualify, 1.5 laps in the yolk on front of rear end broke.
Whcih sent the drive shaft to side of track, Got towed back,
car in air, some spare parts gathered, was fixible but.

Oil tank had a huge dent in it, why it was not leaking was a surprise.
Safety hoop for drive shaft had two cracks in it, batter box fram was bent.
drive shaft by rights, should be re-balanced.
If car was fixed, we would have no test run, it would have been start at back of first race.
and hope for best, I decided to call it, as I did not want to do more damage or worse
cause a nightmare for another racer,

Sucks we didn't get to race, but the current fix is not to much work and relatively cheap
Unless I decide to upgrade reared
Likely pull transmission to cheak ring gears and realign to be safe.
Next race is end of August, so we have time.

Should have know after last weekend, to much good
life has to balance 😁
