That '66 Gasser has yet to show up locally , but much like the red M2 '66 GT350 last fall ...it will show up eventually.
In the mean time, I had another PD order show up.
Always liked the '77 era Trans Am's, and the Formula was a more subtle version with the same performance numbers.
Ertl Collectibles used to do a series called American Muscle back in the day, I've got a Bandit Trans Am and a Formula from that series.
Really well done 1/18th scale diecast, and if memory serves, you could get them in Walmart for less than $50.
These releases are from 2003. Typically I don't bother too much with 1/18 scale, but in this case I'll make an exception.

Fast forward over 20 years later and I noticed Autoworld has taken over the American Muscle brand, and has issued a white '78 Formula and a blue '77 Formula, so I was curious enough to see if they measure up.
No surprise, they do...Autoworld does a nice job on their 1/64 and the 1/18 are comparable to what Ertl did in the early 2000's.
