What's with the weather?

I saw on the news that some areas of the Nova Scotia had been getting pounded by rain. Roads washed out, houses flooded. Hope none of our forum members were at risk. So is this a highly unusual event for that region, or just one of those lousy storms that hits the area every so often?

I see some pundits invited to talk about it on the newscast, were blaming it on continued fossil fuel use, and how our Federal gov't has turned a blind eye to it, because of the current situation with the US. I imagine Alberta isn't going to complain too hard about that..
So I expect you will all be out shopping electric cars in the near future?;)

We had a couple of major events on Mainland Npva Scotia several years ago,
but its not normal, last time they had Rains and flodds like this were in the 30's

I expect climate crisis then as well
