Game one tonight, Best 2 out of 3.
As good as Europe has been, I have a hard time believing they can beat Canada.
I do think it is going to be a great game.

I was wondering if they played all three anyway? Figure the games have been sold out for quite a while so event organizers would almost want it to go 3 if they didn't play them all regardless lol.
 
Yeah Trevor I agree. That game could have easily gone the other. I could direct it but I am just glad they got the win. Hopefully they come out harder in the second.
 
Price kept them ahead and Chara helped with the giveaway. Could have gone either way if a "regular" goalie had been in net for Canada. The Euros got here by playing decent hockey. Having said that Canada is waaaaaayyyy better than what they were last night. We shall see what game 2 brings for Canada but I think they need to take it up a notch.
 
I suspect it will be over tonight. I can't imagine Canada playing that bad again.
Even playing so so, they are that much better than most.
Look at their 4th line, any NHL team would love to have as a first line.

Should still be a good game, Europe has a very good team.

Well....might only be the first but they played worse than game 1. Brutal start so far. Like I said, organizers want a game 3....coincidence or conspiracy??? LOL
 
This game is brutal so far. They need to wake up or there will be a game 3 and I am not sure if Canada can pull it out. Powerplays are even better for Europe.
 
It was a tough 2 periods, But Price kept them in it and they took care of business in the third.

Yes Canada did not play well, but full marks to Europe, they played very good.

Canada as we all knew is the best hockey Nation in the world :)
 
They somehow managed to haul that one out of their ass lol. Played 8 minutes of decent hockey and it was barely enough to win. Needed a save from the post and a huge couple from Price in the last few minutes short handed. Luckily Europe couldn't score and gave away the puck for what was the game winner. Lucky but we will take it :)
 
Yeah you guys are correct. I am happy for Canada but I feel for Europe as well. They played a heck of a 2 games in my opinion. Man I am still beyond myself though. I actually jumped up and cheered for a bruins player last night. He is some shifty I give him that.
 
It's funny. I went to bed after the second period and at the last minute decided I'd record the third period. I just wasn't into these games like I normally am for Team Canada. Watched the last 10 minutes, the trophy presentation and that was it.
 
I had every intention of watching the entire game , but went to bed halfway through the second period. Missed the best part I guess. I really enjoyed watching the Tournament. It was nice to cheer for a lot of guys I usually Boo.
 
That was the weird part, you cheer for guys like Marchand, which we normally hate.
Shows when its down to crunch team Canada we all cheer for and I seen Marchand
give Chara nasty hit, shows you what the flag does on a font of jersey.
