Odd that the personal plate on the other car is "VERTE".

Three for one.....
1) Odd because 'Vert is short for convertible
2) Odd that VERTE is green in French
3) Odd that an American would even know that.

Not owning one of those models, didn’t even notice that.

Owner probably wanted a more traditional look to the car with a tri-bar pony on it somewhere, so swapped the grille.

I can relate to doing exactly that.

I swapped out the GT badges on my ‘06 for exactly that reason.

Car is voiture in French which is feminine so VERTE would be reasonable

Yup that is the truth.
That was a good fall run, enjoyed it very much and will remember the laughs for a long time, (especially the one with the security guard at the motel in Gaspe).
