Thought of the day.

I watch a lot less Nascar, this is one of the reasons,
not really racing when all cars can reach the top speed.
it's survival. Add that to stages, playoffs and more.
I am not sure how to keep track.
235 laps no issues,
15 to go, 3 major wrecks and couple littles on last 2 restarts.
last restart almost takes a life, makes you wonder
how to make it great without such foolishness.

Everyone knows the big one is coming just when, not if.
that should be enough to change something.
Just my 2 cents, quite sure Nascar is not checking in with me LOL.

If they removed restrictor plates, cars would be doing 240 mph and would end up in the lake or in the stands. Only solution, restrict horsepower to the point that the big one wouldn’t be so big, but another driver will have to lose his life before any changes are made. No Trophy is worth your life.

remove the wings and downforce and they would never reach 180 and be much more fun to watch.
problem is they can all do exact same speed, racing is not really part of it anymore.
drafting, balls and luck determine who's left at end.

Got to love Smoke!
We need him to come out of retirement.
He was one of the very few non FoMoCo drivers I liked when he drove.
Someone said Newman will be mad.
He only needs to be mad at himself.
At 200 mph, you can only block safely once.
He tried twice, first high, then low.
Destabilized his car and put himself crooked to the drive line.
It was inevitable that he would get punted.
Yards from the line, they’re not lifting.
And it was the Ford of Ryan Blaney that he tried to block and pushed him. Not the Toyota of Hamlin.
Hamlin kept his line once they reached Newman.
Newman’s actions caused Blaney to look for a way around.
