Thought of the day.

I like and hate this time of year.
Its always the same from end of March to mid July
I work 75-100 hours a week, we are busy.
But over the next 6 weeks I get quiet doing quotes.
Drives me nuts, but I only work 55 to 75 hours a week.
So the break is nice, next rush is in September.

For those of you watch Fast and Loud on Discovery you probably know what I'm gonna say.

For those of you that don't, you should watch the season premiere episode. Gas Monkey Garage built a replica of the Steve McQueen BULLITT that's being used for the re-creation of the famous chase scene. The episode was pretty cool to see. Behind the scene footage of the filming and you get to see the new BULLITT Steve McQueen edition. 2 hour episode and worth watching. They built it at the request of McQueen's son.

Of course nothing will even come close to the original chase but they did a great job. They also talk to his son about certain things that happened or didn't happen during the original filming.

RANT ALERT. You should be able to beat them when they can't predict the weather
in advance 6 hours, 6 changes 4 hours with final one while raining showing 15mm.
I shut it down send everyone home, I am not the only company that did this.
Hour later its spitting and less than 1mm expected, F@#@ idiots.

Whats worse is they go on tomorrow like they never did anything wrong.
Hundreds of millions in satellites and 4 years of university.
I would be ashamed of myself if I was wrong that often.

The only profession where you can be wrong all the time and they let you get away with it.

Yess that was good!! :D as you’ve seen i am the only big heavy car in this sea of otherwise four bangers, but oh gosh do i have fun doing it ? been a while i haven’t chucked by car around the cones and i realized i was missing it. These are the only two pictures i took of the night, as you see on the board i was able to dip into the 79 seconds on my last run but a lot of other cars were wayyy quicker.
the important? Having a ton of fun doing it! :D

I got there just in time to catch your last run. It looked like a good consistent run. You looked to be in control of your vehicle unlike some of the four banger drivers that where over driving their vehicles. It's all about getting to know your car and your limits and improving it little by little. It was nice to see a mustang in there that's for sure.

Your car looks great with the new wheels. I also loved the New exhaust note. Sounded really good compared to all of the sewing machines that ran when I was there.

HAHAHA! Thanks for the kind comments Charlie, yes, a little farther of the sewing machine noise i had prior to the mustang as well!! You are right, some of them were in extreme control (thinking Josh, in the black S2000), but as you've seen, a lot of the drivers don't really know 100% of their machines just yet BUT this is all part of the fun, improving on your own self! :D
I can tell you that you've did witness the best run, and also that i have learned pretty quick that trying to turn my big heavy car at the transition for lap #2 would induce HUGE understeer so i've learned to be easy on the go pedal on the straightaway to minimize the speed in had to brush off. One day i'll equip myself of GoPro or such equipment so i can actually visualize my runs back and learn even more!

No problem Max. Getting used to your car I am sure is the key. And the d'un part would be pushing it and not quite losing it. The smile at the end of a great run I am sure is priceless. It seems like a fun hobby that's for sure.

I am sure everytime you go out you want to spend just a little bit more money on your car. Lol.

You have the only car there can do a Proper Burnout. :FordSmile

bahhh.... S2000 or RX8 could have done it, albeit powerless AND Singer sewing machine sounding, but could potentially make clouds hahaha. Mine was so planted and i was so focused on precision driving, here's what Max said to me last night: ''Car sounds good Max, BUT it's a shame the four bangers are making more tire noises than you!'' HAHAHAH
