Has anyone supercharged the 2024+ mustang yet? I see ford has a kit for about 10k and bring the motor right to 800hp wondering if anyone's done it and what supporting mods they did before hand to support it.

Im seeing connecting rods ect but wanna see the kitchen actually on something other then a darkhorse.

I'm no expert, but I think that price on the Ford Performance Dark Horse Whipple kit is $10,500 US, so $14,000 to $15,000 in real money.

Again a disclaimer, but the kit looks like it's a bolt on, no upgrades necessary or mentioned in the FP website listing ??

Doesn't mean they're not required, but there is a warranty associated with the kit.

Be interesting to hear from anyone who has done it, big premium to pay on top of the MSRP.

I have a 2024 GT and follow some S650 threads on a number of Mustang postings. There have been quite a few done in the US, and some done in Canada. There was a low mileage SC Atlas Blue Dark Horse for sale on autotrader.ca for a while in Ontario for $90,000 cdn. From what I have read, depending on what other recommended upgrades you go with, it looks like the all in cost was between $20 - $25 thousand. If you have the stage 1 Whipple done at a Ford dealer, you retain some warranty, if applicable, I think with any higher stage, most, if not all, of your drive train warranty is gone. I know that upgrading the driveshaft is highly recommended.

I have debated pursuing it, but will definitely wait until the warranty is done. Ford is going to be selling SC Mustangs, but they are going to be very expensive.

Not sure if you can access through this link. This site has a number of good threads in regards to experiences and recommendations on superchargers for the S650. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/whipple-vs-others.177100/

No first hand experience with SC.
I’m more of an NA guy.
However I have spent big bucks on projects.

Best advice I can give is, if you’re willing to wade into the waters of a $15000.00 to $25000.00 plus budget job, get it done by an experienced shop that does this year round and will stand behind its work.
A shop that knows exactly what supporting mods you will or will not need.
A shop with in-house dyno tuning.

I would unreservedly recommend Dasilva Racing in Pickering, Ont.
With 4 cars, I have been dealing with them since 2008 and have visited their shop over a dozen times over the years.

Logistical points:
-It is a bit of a drive, and this job is a several day job. So you can consider making a holiday of it and wait there while they work on car. Catch a Blue Jays game or something.
Or you can arrange car transport to them and fly out to get car once it’s ready.
-If driving, bring one or two jerry cans of the gas you use the most around here so they tune with that gas.
Make the car as empty as possible before you get there and dump it in to tune.
It should be the best 91 octane you can find here in the maritimes. We don’t have anything higher.
Usually Shell or Irving, if it’s a high volume/traffic station. Avoid low traffic stations because their fuel does not rotate enough, especially there premium fuel.
If shipping it’s easy. Just fill it up here before it leaves.
I speak from experience here. I have driven there in past for tuning and picked up bad gas along the 401 and it interfered with tuning efforts once there.
And believe me, once it’s on the dyno they can tell if you have good or bad gas in the tank. Bad gas limits what they can deliver.

Note: Dasilva will not tune your car to the edge of damaging it. They will leave a margin for safety. But if you start with bad gas that margin is that much further back.

They are easy to access, right off the 401 on Brock road in Pickering.

- 960 Brock Rd
Pickering Ontario L1W 2A1
- (905) 837-7700

They are busy and this is busiest time of year so the sooner you contact for appointment the better. Or plan for next year.

Good luck and happy spending, whatever you decide to do.
