I was still pretty young when I was treated to the thrill of watching driver Bob MacLean, tearing around on our local track, Westwood. He was racing a Lotus 23b, in 1965 when he won the Canadian Championship.

Bob had just moved on to racing a Fogg Motors Ford sponsored 1965 notchback Mustang, just prior to his tragic death at Sebring, in the GT40

After Bob's death, his Mustang #101, was repainted and re-numbered #82. It went on to win many races, piloted by BC driver, John Hall. (Greg Moore's father Jamie Moore, was a member of Hall's pit crew at one time). I saw this car run many times at both Westwood, and at the Knox Mountain Hillclimb event. It was fast!
