What are your plans for the Birthday Celebration on April 17, 2018

i know for many of us the cars will still be tucked away because of road conditions and weather.
Even if the cars don’t appear can we get together for a coffee , maybe a NS group, a Southern and Northern NB group?

One special day a year, the Mustang world unites by taking their Mustangs to the road!

All Mustang enthusiasts know April 17th is the birth date of the Mustang and was first shown to the automotive world at the New York World's Fair.

The goal of the National Mustang Day is to unite all of the Mustang enthusiasts, by ​​

driving their Mustang. Imagine one day a year, the Mustangs are everywhere!

To make this happen, it will take Mustang Clubs, Registries and enthusiasts to help organize the National Mustang Day. How? Organize a cruise, invite friends and neighbors to join as passengers.

As the Mustang World organizes such activity, let us know, so we can add it to the website. We want to be the home base to help spread the information so clubs, Registries, and automotive organizations can see how the Mustang Nation celebrates National Mustang Day.

So let’s get the Mustangs fixed up, cleaned up and take to work, let your co-workers know you are a Mustang enthusiast, and you will find out your co-workers are Mustang enthusiasts, too. Let the world see why we are Mustang enthusiasts. Whether you take the Mustang on a cruise or to work, it is a day to drive the Mustang.

Nationalmustangday.com is your headquarters to help make this event become part of the Mustang World.

To help make this event build to the level to make all Mustang owners proud to be part of the Mustang World, we will approach the Mustang manufacturers and service companies to help advertise the event to their customers.

We also want to approach traditional restaurants and retailers, to help bring more attention to National Mustang Day.

To make this a National event, we would like all clubs, Registries or/ad individuals to register their plans. 2018 National Mustang Day window decals are available for purchase to proudly display that you took part in National Mustang Day-the largest Mustang event ever held.
 
Technically we are not a club, but we are a group and we organize events.
If you and others are willing to get involved, I think its a great Idea. If weather breaks early enough,
those who are able, can bring cars out for some sort of event or events.

If weather is bad, we can sure get together for a lunch or something to celebrate the event.
Those interested, should say so now, so we can put together something for this date.
 
I was just throwing out a Mustang based opportunity to talk cars and drink coffee to help get us through parked Mustang season. Its been a while

I see NSMC is planning a get together / possible cruise if the weather has cooperated on Saturday April 14th as the 17th is on a Tuesday .

I realize Mid April is early for most of us to have cars out and mid week makes it awkward , just a good excuse to gather for an hour or so and share few stories of our favorite cars and consume some coffee . Donuts will be made of dough in the coffee shop instead of rubber in the parking lot
 
Yeah great idea for a coffee meet. Like you guys have said it will most likely not be a car meet for most I am sure. But you never know around here. Great idea to get some type of annual Mustang event going though. I wish it was a little later for it to have the full effect.
 
This all got me thinking. It is going to be too early for most to have our cars out. But we could plan a small event early in May that we could all cruise to somewhat in the center of all of our borders for a lunch and coffee? Could be a kickoff to the season! Meet for lunch. Then to tims for a coffee and everyone heads back home. Could have some NB cars cruising up together, pei cars and Nova Scotia cars. Thoughts?
 
Great If there is interest we can definitely make it happen. As for the date i believe that is a possible weekend for the New Hampshire Dyno run But again we can discuss. Amherst is a little close for the MOncton guys and 2 hours for the Halifax guys. If we get some interest I can start another thread and we can see where everyone is coming from and a date in May that works.
 
I am up for whatever, guess for us down here depends on the locals
and what they wish to do. Getting everyone awake and speaking up this
time of year is always a challenge, but hopefully we can put something together.
