Most of those drag cars are tubbed to fit the wide tires. That usually means the axle get shortened though.

Thunderbolt Reunion..
I wonder if there are any of these Tunderbolt cars still languishing in someones garage, or barn? Some might not have any idea of what they have.. "Just Grampa's old Ford..yeah.. with a V8.".
