I was on a Facebook page earlier and people where giving him a hard time because it was a Ford only show. I mean it’s at a Ford dealership so that makes sense. He said if it works out he may open it to other brands next year. These 2 guys said nope we won’t go since you made it exclusive this year. People on the internet seem to want to start a fight about anything.
Thanking everyone for their support, we had 70 entries for our 1st show at Downey's in Saint John. It was a great day and though we put it all together in under 2 months, Downey's was pleased with the results. We may do it again earlier next season and keep it all Ford. And don't worry about the snowflakes, I've been organizing car shows for nearly 40 years now with no complaints and as usual, any cry babies have had to eat their words when all was said and done.
Imagine suggesting that by my not inviting anyone but Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, that I was making a big mistake. They obviously don't know who they were criticizing.
And for those who don't know me, not to blow my horn but to reintroduce myself into this club which will grow to become the largest Mustang Club in Canada if it isn't already, I am Alex Kilpatrick, founding member and 1st President of:

And I am presently in the process of reviving one of the 2 former Mustang Clubs in Saint John, NB. We currently have 33 members. There have been 2 Mustang Clubs started in Saint John over the years. Both of these currently inactive. We will as a group, decide whether to revive the Southern NB Mustang Owners Club, with chapters in Saint John, Sussex, St. Stephen and Moncton or the New Brunswick Mustang Club, Saint John chapter before years end.
Again, I thank everyone for their encouragement and support this season. Besides the show at Downey's in Saint John, we did a tour of the Fundy Trail with 18 cars attending on Wednesday the 11th of September (I'll try to post the photos) and a cruise with 6 cars to the Comeau's Annual Show in Pennfield on the 14th. These were both invitational open to the entire motorsport community.
We will be organizing a 40th Anniversary cruise, inviting all Mustang Clubs weather permitting, before seasons end.
Again, I am Alex Kilpatrick, born in Halifax and introduced to the Ford Mustang there in 1965. Joined the Canadian Army in 1966 and have a total of 29 years service in Regular Force, Reserve and Cadets.
Looking forward to meeting many more of our Maritime Mustang members in 2025.
