I have a hard time warming up to the Mustang II.
Even when they were new, I believed they were sub par.
One of my school teachers had one.
A Ghia with vinyl half roof.
Beige car, brown roof.
A Mustang never looked less like a Mustang.

One exception was a certain white king cobra with blue stripes on a weekly crime drama tv show. ?

But, the Mustang II was the Car that allowed the Mustang to be manufactured continuesly fro 64 to 2020 and beyond. Camaro from 67 to 2002, discontinued then back in 2010.
