I can't help but notice the number of Cobra's that have rear view mirrors mounted on the windshield post, rather than the traditional location on the fender. I can tell you from experience the fender mounted mirrors are pretty lousy view wise..
Perhaps AC Cars didn't use the post mounted mirror's for the same reason I didn't? Like the original Cobra's, my windscreen frame is made of brass, and has chrome plating. I worried drilling into the post for a mirror mount may be a disaster if the chrome starts to peel. Be different if it was stainless steel frame.
