GM's Holden vehicle manufacturing plant in Australia was shut down in 2017, after 90 years of producing trucks and cars. The unique Holden marque was retired completely in 2021.
There's no doubt Holden produced some pretty unique cars over the years, including some well respected performance cars. The Torana A9X, the Monaro GTS 327 & 350 models and the GTR 350, GTR XU1, several versions of the Commodore SS, etc. Then there is the well liked utility vehicle, (Holden's version of the El Camino), was produced for decades and known simply as the Ute. Holden's V8 Supercar's won several championships in their class..
There is some speculation already that some of these cars will increase in value considerably over the next several years. If you ever see one for sale, it may be worth a second look, and a bit of research on the particular model.
