Hello coming for the Nationals.
Thinking of surprising my spouse with an extra few days on the way home.
Love suggestions on nice small towns along the gulf of st Laurence?
Somewhere to just relax maybe do some fishing and good restaurants?
Nothing fancy just good food.
Also suggestions on Moncton restaurants for nationals?
Please don’t be upset because I ask so many questions.
Chemobrain makes planning difficult.
Thank you again everyone

I can’t provide specific names of establishments as that would be me planning your trip, and my time has it’s value as well.

But, from Moncton heading east, Cap-Pele, NB, has several seaside or near coast cottage operators. There is good seafood at L’Aboiteau wharf or Fred’s restaurant.

If you want to go further east, similar coastal view cottages available in Victoria by the Sea, PEI, (Victoria by the sea cottages) with, again, great seafood at a couple local restaurants easy walking distance from the cottages.

Charlottetown, PEI, has several chain hotels and plenty of good restaurants downtown.
Good seafood everywhere.

The east, or Acadian coast of NB is more camping friendly with few hotels.
Except for cottage operators like described at beginning.
Plenty of cottage operators on Acadian peninsula in places like Tracadie, Caraquet or Shipagan.
Easy day drive from Cap-Pele to there for night #2.
Good seafood anywhere here. Whether sit down restaurants or roadside fish & chip take out places.

If you want taste of Quebec Gaspe coast before final sprint home, Carleton-sur-mer (Carleton by the sea) is only an hour from bridge in Campbellton, NB, and has decent number of hotels and again great seafood restaurants.
You have to book rooms ahead, as well as restaurant reservations. Very busy there in summer.
If you book a room by phone, they can probably provide you a number or two for restaurants.
