I think it was mentioned that there is only 125 points still available in the remainder of the season, so Kimi only needs two more points to cinch it.
The only way for George or Hamilton to win, would be to win all of the sprint, and final races, and Kimi to not score a single point. Max Is no longer in contention.
I didn't find the Texas GP to be very exciting overall. The opening lap was probably the most exciting lap of the entire race. Bit of a snoozer after that, other than watching the various tire races strategy's for the teams, and a little mid pack drama, or when passing lapped cars. I wonder if the "track limit" issue that seemed so prevalent in qualifying may have reigned in the drivers a bit too much?

Mexico has generally been an entertaining race, but it too can become a follow the leader type event. It does give the female SKY Sports pundits an opportunity to add to their cloths closets. I noticed after the race there last year Jamie Chadwick was sporting some items at some of the races. A few years back she apparently did some cloths modelling for Vogue Mexico magazine.

Maybe, but he dive bombed his team mate, if had stayed in 2nd, very good chance it would have been a ferrari 1-2
No way he was goign to make it stick so why rish taking out team mate.
Hamilton had to swerve, then slid and Max passed him,
after 5 second Penalty, gave lead to Max.
and everyone agrees should have been 10 seconds..

Did this last race and Multi other times this year,

Some interesting developments in the NASCAR world.

Wild race at Talledega, with Larson pulling off one of the most unreal wins ever, although there was some question on being below the yellow line, he got the win and kept it. Logano was on his roof and Herbst taking one of the most viscous hits I've ever seen. Been something of a year for bad crashes, Bell at Michigan, Bubba at Charlotte when Bowman shot up the track and hit him, and now this. Something to be said for the safety standards and how the cars are built these days, plus safer barriers.

Hocevar gets banned from the final race in Homestead for the blatant brake checks on Cindric that destroyed his car in Martinsville, and that donkey move to spin himself out.

Probably might have gotten away with it if he was smart about it, but slamming on the brakes on the straightaway, and having the telemetry to prove it....... dude, you're not even trying to make it look like racing deal. I'm not saying he's the first guy to do stupid things on the track, but come on.

Going to have to be a major upset for Larson to screw up a 67 point lead going into Homestead, I'd say we have a back to back, three time champion.

I have not watched Nascar this year, mostly due to the stupid racing
the offcicals think is normal.
How someone can race for 497 laps,
some other donkey hits him on purpose, spins leader
goes on to win, is ok, is beyond me.

I will be first to admit, rules in f-1 are over top, lack of rules in nascar,
like your at bumber cars is ok, somewhere normal for both would be far better.

I think Hamilton was furious with Leclerc's move, and it sure would be interesting to hear the debrief. Now there was no guarantee Lewis would have won, but the odds are in your favor at this particular track if your at the front. In fairness, it was two drivers racing for a win, team mates be damned. Shite happens...:)
Kimi was smart and played it real cool to cinch up the Championship. I'm pretty darn sure him keeping that cool headedness was probably discussed before the race. Better safe than sorry.
Wild crash for Bottas with that suspension failure. Probably a poop in pants moment for him. I heard his hair turned white from it.;)

I have to agree, both formats of racing rules are widely different. I suspect that the team owners in F1 have pushed hard on some rules, mainly to reduce damage to their cars. A F1 car front spoiler alone is apparently worth approx, $250,000, and a complete car is worth in the $15 to 22 million range. In comparison an NASCAR one is in the $280-300 thousand range, which is about the same cost as three F1 steering wheels.

I enjoy the races at Talladega. You can always count on some crazy action on track, and in the pits. I'm not a fan of poor sportsmanship though, and disappointed that NASCAR seems to accept it. Herbst slamming the inside wall was hard to watch. He was very lucky, as the g force must have been off the charts.
