2025 Motorsports Racing Season.

Worked this monirng, but managed to make it out to Scotia speed world for the last race of the year.
Friday night racing on Sat, great Idea so you don't freeze to death, was a pretty good day,
Interesting they had a couple small versions of this through the season.

Called the Enduro, basically these are 100% street legal stripped down
some put a hoop in them, some even race seats, but most were nothing but stripped down car
Likely more dangerous than anyone wants to admit or talk about

Started with 60 cars, no yellow green or red flag only
standing start 4 wide, little crazy and took an hour to complete 18 laps lol
finished 2 plus hours with 20 cars, amzing how many wheels body parts
and other adventures happened, entertaing and stupid all at same time.

I bet that race was a riot to watch..I always enjoyed the bomber import car class races.
Nice wide track! Is that a 1/2 mile circuit?

The Singapore race is done for another year. Ridiculous humidity and heat must have been torture for the drivers. Practice and qualifying, were far more exciting than the race itself in my opinion. It got a little racy a couple of times, but that was among the backmarkers not the leaders. Norris had one decent charge at Max, but he seemed to back off after that.
McLaren's pit stops were horrendous, maybe the heat and humidity was affecting the pit crew? But in spite of them, McLaren still won the manufactures championship. That is some huge money for the team.
Nice to see George get the win, although his race was already won pretty well the day before, getting P1 in qualifying. To me it looked like the normally unflappable Piastri, was quite pissed at the teams refusal to let him drive around Norris, after the first lap incident. It was really questionable if it could have been avoided, least from what I saw. I mean it is a car race.
Piastri didn't seem to put in much effort after that. At first I though he was conserving his tires for a late run, but I think he was brooding. He was conspicuously missing from the team photo taken in celebration of the constructors championship. I'm sure there will be some conversations about all this. He must be really concerned he could see the 2025 Championship slipping away.

I watched what I presume to be a new season of Street Outlaws, No Prep Kings, the great eight, last night. It may have been filmed back in 2023 and never picked up by a network? It was filmed some time ago.
It was kind of heartbreaking to see Lizzy Musi talking about her cancer issues and how it had progressed so much. She admitted she was wearing a wig for the show, and spoke graciously about accepting her prognosis was terminal. This was just the first show, so I'm not sure if she continued to the end of this seasons show or not? It was mentioned that this season's show was dedicated to her. I thought she appeared to be a truly kind and wonderful person. Sadly she passed in June 2024.

The first show of this season, and all to darn typical with TV series these days, was basically just a reintroduction of some of the original Street Outlaw cast members, and a few of the more common racers of past seasons of the NPK races. I thought it was kind of funny how Doc, one of the 405 OG's of the early seasons of the series, was not picked by any of the three Oklahoma 405 team captains who had to choose what drivers they wanted on their team. Nor did any of the other five team captains want him. After all eight teams had chosen the five drivers per team, poor Doc was left standing along with a small handful of other drivers, like kids leftover at a schoolyard game. They were then designated as "back up" drivers. I suppose that they would come into play if a regular team member couldn't make a race, or their car broke. Doc swore redemption for his not being picked...lol Still no appearances by one of the original cast, known as Chief. He played a main role in the series for a few seasons, and then simply vanished, apparently after disagreeing with the show's producers on how they wanted the rules of the races changed. Perhaps Chief didn't know that reality shows, are not actually real? 😊
Still, an entertaining show, with some nice cars, and some odd characters..

Being a fan of many of the variations of that show I am sad to hear about Lizzy Musi's passing, I had not heard that.
I knew she had cancer but did not know the latest news.
Bell removed Discovery from their lineup here in my area so I haven't followed the show for a few years.
Thanks Bill for the update.
