ya strange race, with some Marsahll stuff and stewarts stuff as well. WHo knows about Maclaren, but eaier to sell LandoWell, as races have been recently, Mexico was one of the more exciting ones. Not for the win of course, but at times there was some really good racing going on from 2nd place back. Sad Lewis had a lousy break. He had a great opportunity kind of robbed from him. The last two laps could have been nail biting, but we will never know. It could have ended in disaster as well..
It sure helps when they race on a track where it is possible to make a pass. This should be a mandatory requirement for any track they race at. Too many ridiculous circuits run every season, but it's all about the money, not great competitive races. There are certainly many far better courses to keep racing exciting, not just a follow the leader parade.
It seemed to me that Lando started off the season as McLaren's golden boy, but Piastri's results since proved otherwise. You could be correct in that they are somehow giving Lando an edge. I'd sure hope not, but wouldn't take much. One little tweak and a driver may not even pick up on it. Less chance of them taking out one another too.. Sponsor $ could play a role in this kind of potential malarkey. UK sponsor money wants UK Champion perhaps?
Yes, poor George kept begging to get let around the kid, but he sure didn't do much. To late maybe as his tires had taken a beating by then. Least he kept his word about giving Kimi back his position. No doubt they are both good, and there is some competition going on between them on the team. George wants to remain Mercedes top driver, like Leclerc wants to remain the A driver with Ferrari. I think this internal competitiveness hinders both the teams a bit, but it does make for some interesting times on the track.
Impressive weekend attendance at over 401,000. I guess when you have a city with a population (22 million). equal to more than half that of Canada's total population, it stands to reason..
Interesting interview with Perez, stating he believes he can make a come back. He kind of blames his failing at Red Bull on Max. I guess we will find out next season.
Old Jacque Villeneuve, always quick with criticism's, pointed out that nobody that's driven for Red Bull so far, including Perez, has the skills that Max has, so he has become their scapegoat. It does stand to reason though that Max would be given priority, until another driver can equal or surpass him.
true articale that left out some major componets to all of this.Thought this was an interesting overview of F1 2026 new rules.
Yeah there are going to be a lot of rows and disputes about rule interpretations!true articale that left out some major componets to all of this.
Yes the power unit has dominated the talks, but a complete chassis and
areo package is being introduced at same time.
This has never been done in F-1, they may changes engines they maybe change aero and chassis, but they have never done
major overhaul of both sets of rules in the same season.
Lastly it set off a firestorm, when they announced 100% sustainable fuels, which means without going electric, the
race cars are carbon neutral, which caused a debate on engines and going back to V-8/ v-10
they now only promiced this set up till 2027 to see if they can make work instead of 2030.
Lots more to come, should be fun winter, can't wait for first test, Simulator runs have not been great.
well based on standing and that thought process Pistri will blocking for Lando he leads by 1 point currently.A few teams have already announced their drivers for the next season. Red Bull and Alpine are yet to name their second drivers, while RB have not confirmed either driver in their pair-up yet. I fully expect to see Hadjar filling one of the seats. Arvid Lindblad is potentially another. Not quite sure about Lawson. He has improved since the beginning of the 2025 season.
There is also going to be several new team third (reserve) drivers. Obviously Valtteri Bottas will have to be replaced at Mercedes, as he is starting alongside Perez for Cadillac. F2 driver Jak Crawford will become Aston Martin's new reserve driver replacing Felipe Drugovich, who is apparently moving on to the Andretti Formula E team in 2026 as a full time driver. I presume Pato O'ward, with his Indy car talent will stay with McLaren. I think he is a great choice. He could get a shot as a full time driver eventually for one of the teams.
As of October 1st this so far is apparently what drivers the teams will consist of for 2026. Who knows for sure though by the time the lights go out for the first race in 2026.. Look what happened with Hamilton deciding to move to Ferrari. I wonder if he regrets it now?

There was some recent rumors that Honda is not overly pleased that Stroll will remain with Aston Martin. I suspect they don't want sub-par drivers representing their product. Might be a hard ask when the father owns the team...lol. I think Lance would have been handed his papers long ago, if anyone else owned the team..
Another recent rumor put forth by former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher, is that Piastri may be slightly miffed with McLaren recently. I don't really see that myself, but I guess Piastri's quest for an F1 world championship, could cause that. I suppose Lando could get in the way of that, if the team continues to allow them to freely race against one another. They could order Lando to act as a blocker during a race to help hold Max off. If Max continues at the rate he has, it may not be long before he is a serious threat to Piastri becoming a World Champ. I doubt Lando would be keen on that though, as he is also in the running.
There was also a suggestion that Piastri could look at an Aston Martin seat moving forward, but then that has also been hinted that Leclerc may as well. Apparently Leclerc is not happy that Hamilton has taken away some of his limelight with Ferrari. Seems all a bit bizarre to me..
Some changes to the 2026 cars explained here.
I wonder if they will be racing in the rain again?Sao Paulo this weekend, the race is tight not only for Championship,
but for several otehr constructor positions, which is worth 10's of millions
per position, so lots to fight for, should be good.
Did not see the weather, but your right, changes the game big,I wonder if they will be racing in the rain again?
Rain is expected on Saturday, which could make the sprint race quite interesting. It could also mess up qualifying. So far, only clouds are called for on Sunday, so they would be running on different tires. That could be a real advantage for some, and and a huge obstacle for other teams.
Yes with Lando now ahead by one, it will be very interesting to see how Piastri wants to play it.. I'm sure Max is loving this.
