Another great year in the books, another successful fall run.
It is that time of year, where we slowly start to think of next years runs and events.

So folks, nexts years run will be in New Brunswick.
any members have any suggestions of where they would like to go in
New Brunswick post it here, we will pick a few and put it up for a vote.

Examples of where to where areas, and once voted on we will begin to
put together a plan for next years run, so we can have it on the calendar
for early in the year. giving everyone plenty of time to prepare the time off to go :)

We did a Gaspe run once, years ago, but it was really to long for what our Fall run is set up for.
But would love to do again, maybe as an August thing.
I am sure Marc will pop by with suggestions or someone,

If not us minions will get together and figure out something :)

Marc and I spoke last week.
So I did a bit of scouting this weekend as we were throwing a few ideas around.
Nothing really panned out yet in my opinion but I did send my findings up Marc's way.

Agree with you Trevor that the run around the Gaspe was really fun to do, but way too much driving involved like you mentioned.
I did look at another loop on the opposite side of the Gaspe coast like in the areas of Amqui, Matane, Mt. Albert etc.
I ran that idea by Marc but like he indicated, I believe this would be too far of a run as well, but fun to do no doubt.

I'm sure Marc's brain is already hard at work on this and he'll pop up with something soon enough.

Ok, I pitched this idea to Charlie and Fred while in NS, and discussed with Roger.

It has the town with hotels and restaurants for Friday and Saturday nights.
It has a Tim Horton’s with large parking half way for nature break both morning and afternoon.
It has town with restaurants for lunch.
It has the best paved 100 miles of two lane highway in the north.
It will take us from rolling farmlands in the St-John valley across the top of the province through fall colours a rolling and curvy highway, to the Restigouche River and Baie dee Chaleurs, and back.
The distance and time frame are perfect for our needs.

With the quality of the pavement on the road, varying terrain and direction changes, and relatively low traffic on weekends it’s my favourite run to do up here,
I do it several times a season and often post about it.

Start and end in Grand Falls.
Best Western can easily handle our group.
But I’ll also check out Hilltop Motel and restaurant.
Hilltop could host our Saturday night and stay at same place.
View of, and easy walk to Falls tourist information centre for those who want to get there early Friday.

Run start in Grand Falls, through farmland in St-Andre to hwy 17.
Hwy 17 north to Campbellton, halfway stop in St-Quentin, on to Sugarloaf park for break and photo ops.
Lunch in Campbellton with more scenery on Restigouche river waterfront.
After lunch, cruise to beach in Charlo along shore route. More scenery there looking out over Baie des Chaleurs to Gaspe peninsula.

Then return on hwy 11 with view of Sugarloaf mountain approaching Campbellton, back to hwy 17.
Again Tim Horton’s in St-Quentin for halfway stop.
On to St-leonard to hwy 134 along St-John river back to Grand Falls.

Something different!
If some want to come up early on Friday, possibility to put together a short bonus, informal, afternoon run from Grand Falls down to Plaster Rock, then on to Perth Andover along the Tobique river, returning to Grand Falls along the St-John river.

Unfortunately, the two runs can’t be combined because they would be too long.

There it is.

Done this route a few times, just not in the Mustang, beautiful scenery for sure. If this is the pick, I would suggest The Bullpen Steakhouse 🥩 for the Friday and/or Saturday dinner 😋

Very well said Marc would be a nice run

2 more great suggestions.

Fundy is always nice scenery

The Miramichi to Fredericton has some nice roads as well. I don’t believe it would be to long.

We will setup a poll after a little bit to see where people would like. The final details are not important right now. Just general location of run for our poll will be fine.

We will give it another few days in case anyone has other ideas. Then we will put it to vote for general location. After that we can internally start working on the details of it all.
