And earlier this week on TVA Sports they showed how last year at exact same time Blues had same amount of Points that Habs had at that time, as well as 2 times 10 or so years ago that the Penguins were also in same boat and went on to win it all. I'm an Optimist. :ROFLMAO:

Anything is possible, but very unlikely jumping that many teams.
If they had lost last night, all on Julian, played same 5 guys last 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
even with time out, not too bright. and not his most defensive guys.

Lucky to get that win, never should have seen OT

with some bye weeks for several teams including Montreal.
They have time to make decisions.

Not sure what Montreal will do, but reality is they are not good enough.
Even if they do the unrealistic and make playoffs, its 2nd year of fighting like this
just to get in. Logic says, not good enough, question is what do they need to subtract or add.

I still say MB needs to go, if he makes decisions, who knows what we get
Waver pics, hoping 5th liner becomes top 6 players.
You don't pull that off like Paul Byron very often.
1 in 20 maybe.

Tough choice, but right steps need to be made now.
If your counting on Price and Weber to lead you, then
you need to go at it hard right now. Or>>>>>?????

I have to agree with you Trevor, as the Habs started their break a few days before the Teams they are chasing, they could be 9 points out of a playoff spot by the time they play against the Capitals next Monday. Only positive there is that Ovetchkin will be serving his one game suspension on that day for missing the All Star Game. ?

At the all start break, Montreal is 10 points out of wildcard.
they have to jump 4 teams, 3 of which have games in hand
and this is for the last spot. Also being closely followed by 2 teams
12 in division and 24 th in the league.

Can they make the playoffs, sure its been done before.
Is it realistic, No, not even a little bit.

This is the time for Geoff Molson to take action.
Fire MB, put new GM in place so whoever that is has a chance, to make trades
and draft accordingly for the future.

We have either barley made or missed playoffs now far too long.
Not many players I don't like on this team, but they have proven in
their current version, not good enough. So do you wish to like all these guys or win?
Make the trades possible to have a competitive team, for now and the future.

I believe Montreal has some great pieces and don't believe they have to totally blow it up.
But some serious moves and maybe some of the favourite players need to go.
Do it and do it now, I hate missing the playoffs, but in a very tough NHL
you need to build for long season and tough playoffs, it's time.
do it rights.

PS Geoff Molson won't fire MB so as fans unless MB gets lucky we
are so screwed. my biggest fear is he could make it worse.
