What did you do to your mustang today

Took out the cluster and it all un snaps very easy here is the front of the board with needles and backing removed IMG_20180604_1902552.jpg

I did all six even though only 2 were not working .
back in to test and calibrated them.. The RPM is reading about 200 below now? I've calibrated a few times and keep the same 200 under. I might pick up one more and redo it ..

If you are 200 low across the band Just note the distance you are off and reposition the needle ,I had to adjust a few times to get it 100%

Had work done to car on Monday in Pickering. Was not going to go there initially but plans changed.
Was going to Mont-Tremblant regardless. Then my former body guy announced that he only does insurance work now.
No more work on Mustangs or anything outside insurance work.
Was going to get him to install a brace in trunk and remove radio and windshield washer reservoir.
Not stuff dealerships do regularly. Was going to get dealership to do gears and bleed brakes.
Well, since was already going half way, figured would make it to Pickering.
When you need eye surgery you go to eye surgeon. So why not go to Mustang experts when you need work done to Mustang?

3.73 gears removed from rear end awaiting 3.90's. 3.90's are noticeable and woke up the car nicely. Good combination of acceleration and highway speed with added RPM of last year's engine setup.

Had ordered Baer eradispeed slotted rotors and Hawk pads as future replacements for when I would need brakes. Since car was on lift and we were bleeding fluid I decided to install these now. Was tired of looking at rear rusted rotors. Motul DOT 4 went in. Hawk HPS 5.0 pads.

Rear plus 1 slotted rotors. Kit includes billet bracket that moves stock caliper outboard 1 inch to accommodate larger diameter rotor.
This provides a bit more torque force to brakes but also increases capacity to handle heat on track.

Steeda X brace in trunk. Compensating a bit for loosing strut tower brace with engine build last year.
Seems like a good piece. Definitely provides bracing.

All the goodies removed. Radio head, all speakers, windshield washer reservoir (9-10 lbs. full), spare tire (won't fit over brakes anymore, already did not fit Brembos), jack and all hardware. About 70 lbs. removed.
AC was previously removed 2 years ago.

I describe it as being all business rather than a race car. A hint of character thrown in with the sound.
I was not the fastest around the track but everyone complemented my sound.

The brakes are nice.
They get better as they get warm now actually. The pads contribute to that. They are just shy of all out race pads.
I was actually quite impressed with the brakes on the 2015 EcoBoost.
It has the GT brakes (Non Brembo) as part of its track pack and it weighs less than a GT.
They had noticeably more initial bite than mine.
But I have as much if not more overall stopping power.
Just very different feel on the pedal.

Just freshening a few items up on my car. And turned up the volume to.... 11.

hehe. That's my little trick, except I try to wait about 40 days until I'm sure they're out of the previous month's stickers. Every 12 years in New Brunswick you get a free year :)

Me too, got it done in Edmundston when I picked up my car but didn't notice yours. Unless you were in Grand-Falls ?? Mine passed as well, no issues and synthetic so first ride of the year coming up today after I clean it up a bit.

Roger, I forgot to ask.
Are you happy with your convertible top repairs?
And you know the unofficial rule...
No photos, it didn't happen.
