Motor Trend names the Maverick as 2026 Truck of the Year.

I have 2 and I like driving them,
but Truck of the years a stretch as its barely a truck

Yes or no on the truck question is debatable, depends on what criteria you use to judge it.

Ford calls the Mach-E a Mustang, but that don't make it so.

All questions aside, I'm a fan of the Maverick too, but I'm quite happy with my F150.
