WTB 62mm throttle body 2005-2010

OK, it’s been so long I forget the technical data.
A little refresh on the old Google machine and I’m ready to go. ?

Stock is twin 55.
Looks like you’re shopping the Ford Racing twin 62.
That one is nice eye candy with the high polish billet finish.
Like a diamond ring on your girlfriend’s hand. ?
Sorry, mine is in use. ?

I see it’s priced US $767.00 on CJ’s.
That’s in the neighbourhood of a cool grand Canadian.

I don’t want to highjack your thread, Al, but if you followed Griff’s thread about him getting a TB, that’s the TB I was talking about that was tested when it first came out around 2007-2008 or so.
On a mostly stock setup, it was only good for 2-3 hp increase.
$1000.00 is a lot of money for that.

If you’re getting it for the looks, I got nothing to say. It does the job. ?

I’m not up to speed with your engine setup, but if you’re hoping to get measurable performance gains out of it, other supporting mods should be in the plan.

In front of it, think big intake tube, like JLT series 3.
Behind it, think of how you can open up air flow also.
Like deleting charge motion plates, cams and long tube headers.
Those supporting mods will allow that TB to shine.

Otherwise, did I mention it looks great? ?

Advice is always welcome .. I do have the JLT series 3 and headers ( busted knuckles to prove it Lol) I also have the under drive pulley and 3.73 rear end. I don't have the CMDP or cams yet. I've read that if I get the larger TB (62mm not 65mm) that I should see more tourque than HP which is totally fine with me

Hawww!
I thought you had the JLT but forgot all about the headers.
You had posted about them. ?‍♂️

Those will all work together nicely.
Good volume in, and good flow out.
If you get the TB, a good tune will pull all that together.
Trip to Pete’s coming at a good time.
Now you’re on the clock to find one.
You’ll like the results.

I can’t comment on torque versus hp for the TB.
I also had cams when I put mine on.
And cams take away a bit of very low end torque.
That initial, let the clutch out to pull away torque.
