Not saying that life expectancy in racing for that era was short, but that looks like a hearse parked top centre beside the track.

Back in those days many start up tracks bought old ambulances to have on site for all events and hired
people with what ever level of EMT they could get there hands on,
some older / smaller tracks still run like this.
big events they hired EMT to be on site with modern ambulances.
all that said what a cool bunch of GT1- GT2 cars
wish I were around to see them run, wicked bunch of cars

Decisions! Decisions!
First world problems.
With having easy access to track like you, I would go as much track as possible but still street legal.
You can still use on street for short local, regional runs when no rain, etc.
Or like me, when no passenger.
When going further away, having passenger or might hit rain, you still have the Shelby.
