Something seems fishy about this damn whole thing. I hope some compensation is rec'd by the innocent owners

You would expect that the partner of the dealership who claimed to have been ripped off by his partner, should have been compensated by his insurance company. It was theft.
if he collected insurance money and now has car back, he could be made to pay back that money.
But considering the work done on cars and value now, hes still ahead,
make you wonder if people who bought and did alot of work have and recourse
to get some of thier money back.

I have a feeling this is far from over.

If insurance was collected, which is not clear that it was in this case, seized stolen goods can be returned to the insurance company.
They decide how to dispose of the goods to recover some of the money they paid out.
