Some new tools have helped with the new model being released this year. Designed to fit the Coyote engine, but they can still be ordered for other engine choices, including big blocks.
Back in the day when I built mine, the 302 engines were mainly used, and the 87-93 5.0 Mustangs were the donor of choice for most builders. Reading through the FFR builder forums, it seems most are now using new parts to complete their builds, I presume as there isn't any suitable donors with the late model cars. This drives the build price up quite a bit. Probably double what it cost me.
It's unfortunate, as Factory Five Racing was originally created by two brothers who's intentions were to offer a chance for people on a budget to build a car of their dreams. I always liked that aspect.
