Old school NASCAR fans will always greet Daytona with a touch of sadness.

Sombre milestone this year, as it marks 25 years since Dale Earnhardt passed away.

Jeez I'm old.... I remember that day like it was yesterday, FOX went off the air after the race and you knew something was not right.

none of us are getting any younger.
Now me I am getting better looking :)

Nascar playoff systems sucks, their rule set makes 4 hour races
hard to watch, they have to do something, less fans and less TV viewership.

But Daytonam is Daytona, and everyone seems wanna see that.
Us folks in the North I am sure its a bit of mark spring is around the corner.

Preseason test 1: Jan. 26-30, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (behind closed doors)

Preseason test 2: Feb. 11-13, Bahrain International Circuit

Preseason test 3: Feb. 18-20: Bahrain International Circuit

Australian Grand Prix (first race): March 6-8, Melbourne

Jan 15 the starts with redbull Launch
rest Launch between 19th and February 9th
we will get to see what these cars look like

Although, everything I read, from first test to first rce we could see some dramtic changes to the cars in looks.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this new generation of F1 cars look and perform. I'm sure there will be improvements/adjustments all year long. Team engineers need to figure out what the limits are before they get caught cheating..

Tpically with such a big reset, there will be winners and losers
Winners normally have a big advantage to start, But teams seem to catch up faster now
than in the past.

Interestingly, they say drivers adjustments in race, will be huge factor,
learning how to use energy management and deploy it will be key
and they will be adjusting this on steering wheel while racing.
They say more experinced drives tend to do better with this

Cars bit smaller and 60-70lbs lighter, so bit more nimble,
which should help,
seeing what these look like and how each team interprets
the rules and how to make it work, will be interesting and fun to watch
Launch this year should be real fun

Audi will test their 2026 F1 car tomorrow in Barcelona, according to Autosport They will be using one of its two allocated filming days ( limited to 200 km) to gather early data and reliability information.
Following the shakedown, Audi plans to officially launch the car in Berlin on January 20.

Nice looking livery if this is what they have chosen.

This may not be the final choice according to this article ..I wouldn't think this is camouflaged too well, if it isnt..
