Not sure if I should watch tonight, Habs going down fast and furious and Oilers on winning streak now

Well Habs won a game yesterday against Edmonton, Today the play Carolina at 2:30 pm.
Who would bet they could win 2 in a row?

Nah they won't.
Lol have a little faith.
It's 1-1 going into the 3rd

Dec. Montreal was98.8% chance of making playoffs,
Now 15.6% hmmmm not good

Leafs trade Phaneuf to the Sens in a 9 player deal. Surprised the Sens got him. Guess they are going after a wild card spot. Big salary gone for the Leafs. Of course the crazy ones are saying salary dump to get Stamkos lol.

They took 8 Mill back, the big plus is the term they lose and a couple prospects and 2nd round draft pic.
Today leafs a little worse, but in the long term they have gained greatly, will allow them to spend better
and they got a little younger also. Good move for both I think.

They were 19th in the League Points wise after winning Sunday. Only 4 points back from 10th place. Go Habs Go !

A win again last night, long shot but possible for the playoffs.
I believe they should not think a few wins solves all the problems.
I hope the realize, they have some glaring problems and if the Habs wish to contend for
a cup, they need to keep making changes.

Fantasy goalies: Scrivens saving grace for Canadiens

Three straight wins stabilize Montreal; top 30 goalies

by David Satriano @davidsatriano / NHL.com Fantasy Staff Writer

The Montreal Canadiens are on a three-game winning streak for the first time in nearly three months, and goalie Ben Scrivens is highly responsible.

Scrivens hasn't had the easiest road to the NHL this season. After being the starter for the Edmonton Oilers last season, he spent this season with their American Hockey League affiliate in Bakersfield before he was traded to Montreal on Dec. 28. Mike Condon (32 percent owned in Yahoo leagues) was filling in admirably for injured goalie and reigning Vezina and Hart trophy winner Carey Price (lower body), who has only played 12 of Montreal's 55 games. But Condon's recent struggles have led to Scrivens' opportunity, which he has seized of late.

Scrivens has made three straight starts for Montreal, going 3-0-0 and allowing four goals on 94 shots. He made 37 saves in a 4-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. His save percentage in that span is .959, and he is still available in 86 percent of Yahoo leagues.
"There is no doubt Scrivens has been outstanding since we put him in net Saturday. He gives us a huge chance. He is making key saves at the right time of the game," coach Michel Therrien told the Canadiens website after the game Tuesday.
Scrivens did have a rough start to his Canadiens career, allowing at least three goals in each of his first four starts, but proved his durability by making 53 starts last season with Edmonton. He was also extremely efficient during his stint as the Los Angeles Kings backup goalie in 2013-14, going 7-5-4 with a .931 SV% and three shutouts in 19 outings.
Price is still not nearing a return; he skated last week but has not been cleared for the next step in his recovery. Thus, Scrivens could be in net frequently for the Canadiens as they look to get back into the Stanley Cup Playoff conversation.

Mcdavid has 5 point night and nobody mentions, line mates getting ( one 4 assist) other getting first career hat trick.
This kid is awesome, no doubt, but man the media is brutal.

Habs playing Buffalo tonight, lets hope better results than last game they played them.

Montreal managed to lose to Buffalo again. 6-4
What I seen was goaltending, Without Price, Montreal has little hope.
Does that also mean, Montreal does not have a good enough back up?
Should the back up not be able to play at least 500 hockey?

Also shows Montreal's other weaknesses, is MB going to to anything or?

Can MT be the coach that takes Montreal to the Next level?

2 years ago Montreal looked like they were building for a serious run.
Now they look like they need a re-build, what went wrong so fast?

I have my ideas, but what do you think?

With things being so bad this late in the Season , I say call up John Scott and Kick Some Ass !
