Only a car guy would notice tire pressure. I will have to check them again. The TPMS light is on and it wont't go out no matter how much air I put in them.
I am using Michelin Pilot Super Sports. When they were new they stuck pretty good. Now with age they get a little squeal under protest.
There are two major issues to resolve, price point and what you generally drive like as far as performance. The debate on tires could go on for ever.
In the early days I saw some pics of mangled brackets, so I went the welded route. I believe that's been sorted. Buy them from a reputable supplier like BMR, or MM and you will be fine.
I will go with 1968, Cruise o matic. My neighbor bought one when I was in high school. I can remember the logo.
