They are the strap type. the dealer knock one of wheel when I got the last tires put on. When I get the air bags changed out I'll have them check the sensors.

If they are real bad, I use a high # wet sand paper. That cuts the worse of then go with an even higher # wet sand paper, then polishing compound and then wax. The kits are good, but take for ever if the are heavily oxidized. Make sure to cover the paint around the lights.

I am using Michelin Pilot Super Sports. When they were new they stuck pretty good. Now with age they get a little squeal under protest. There are two major issues to resolve, price point and what you generally drive like as far as performance. The debate on tires could go on for ever.
