The One That Got Away

Not sure if the topic has come up on here yet, and yes, I'm too lazy to search it out. lol

Posting a pic of my old '06 GT 'vert reminded me how much I loved that car, I spent a pile of cash on Ford Racing upgrades.

As it so often happens, circumstances back in 2011 led me to have to make the decision to sell the 'vert and spend the next five years with no Mustang, until the GT350 came along.

I know the guy that bought my '06, and he's maintained it pretty much the way I would have, hasn't changed it much, and hardly driven it, heck, he's owned it longer than I did.

I told him if he ever wanted to sell it, call me first. Not sure if I could pull it off, but like I said, it was the S197 body style that put me in my very first Mustang, and I still love the whole look of that specific car.

So where I'm going with this, I'm curious to see stories about those cars that you would buy back if you had the chance.

One of these days I should get him to do a photo opportunity........

There is a few, one would be my 91 thunderbird super coupe
loved that car, worked amazing, looked great.
I wish I bought my 350 that could have kept my 08 vert
but not enough dollars to do it. I have requests on about 4 cars
currently if go for sale I got first dibs, not sure what would happen
if and when they do, Have to find the money.

Also I need a bigger garage.

I miss my 05GT because it was the first year of the S197 chassis.
It was an automatic and I did it up to commemorate the GT/A nomenclature from 67.
I kept the plates from it.

In this shot, you see that silver roof Mustang behind.
That's a GT500 I just passed on the track.
Handling and carrying speed through corners is faster on the track than just brute speed on the straights.

Mine is My first sporty car. The last year of the rwd Celica. I met my wife when I had my GT-S notchback , the hatchbacks were everywhere so my notch got a lot of attention ..Trooper was my Anthem back in the day with my bright white sports car ..lol . A head on collision wrote the car off .I would love to find another exactly the same or a convertible , but these are super rare ..!

That Car Looks Awesome and has an Excellent Stance with the GT500 Staggered Wheel and Tire Package.

The one I really miss is I had a chance to buy a late 60's Volvo P1800 but at the time it was well out of my price range at $1000. The two that I've owed and would like to have back are my old 1990 Toyota 4X4 ExtraCab and a 1986 BMW 325.
