Married 11 July, 1970 in a Lime Gold,1967 Ford Mustang Convertible, our 1st car.
Served in the Canadian Forces (Army) for 25 years.
Retired 1991 in Kingston, Ontario
Started and worked 3 different companies over the next 13 years
Retired to assist his wife in her B&B (Bed and Breakfast) in Blacks Harbour and to look after her parents in Saint John. 2004

Owner of 11 Mustangs since 1970, we currently have 2; both convertibles. Alex is the founding member of the CFB Gagetown Motorcycle Club (1974), Central New Brunswick Mustang Owners Club (1984), The Eastern Ontario Mustang Owners Club (1985) and the Eastern Division of the former Performance Ford Club of Canada, renamed The Ford Country Club in 1989. Alex worked with the CRCA and MMS Race Marshal groups in Ontario for 7 years accumulating 137 Race events in his log book. there consisted of: Formula 1, Indycar, NASCAR, CASCAR, WSC (World Sports Car), Trans AM, Petit Lemans, American Lemans Series, Vintage, IMSA, SCCA, PRO and many Local Ontario Club series races and all Classes of Motorcycle and Go-Cart Racing. Having devoted his leisure life to his car hobby and passion for racing, he was an active participant as well in The St. Lawrence Auto Club, the senior Solo II (founded 1949) autocross or slalom competition club in Ontario. There he serverved for a time on the club executive committee and in competition holds his class honours, 1st place in 2003.
In that year, having moved back to New Brunswick on compassionate grounds, Alex retired from motorsports. In 2006, the Maritime Motorsport Hall of Fame (MMHOF) located in Petitcodiac, New Brunswick held their first induction ceremony in Moncton and Alex, having been nominated for that year became one of the first 10 to receive the honour on
November 18th, 2006.
Now due largely to his summertime commitment of operating a seasonal Bed and Breakfast, Alex and Wanda his lifelong partner, while remaining enthusiasts, are seen at just a few of the summer car shows, still holding club memberships and spending their limited leisure time cruising about the Fundy coast on sunny days in either the 69 or the 05 convertible.
